Watched a livestream with the cast of That Thing You Do! While they commented and reminisced about the movie. BFF joined me via FaceTime since we both love that movie. It was whole milk for the soul

Kiddo initiated outside time and we ended up being out for about an hour. He wanted to bike, thankfully his bike has an adult-height handle on the back for when he decided to walk for a while. I put on a belt so the dog could be tethered to me*. At one point I had bike handle in one hand, Kiddo hand in the other hand, and dog walking nearby and it all just … worked.

*At one point Kiddo asked me what I wanted my animal super power to be, I said octopus.

We actually did way better than I thought, he shopped on the 1st last, so that’s 18 days! That’s not bad at all actually. (Although we did get a Costco delivery in there, but still!)

I am getting my first of 2 seedling deliveries on Friday and I am so fucking excited I can’t even. 3 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of spinach, onions (Boyfriend is super excited about these, he eats more scallions than any one person should) a big strawberry pot, oregano. Salads for dayyyyyyyyyys.

Last year, my seed starting was a 100% fail. Nothing came up, literally nothing.
This year, I have 12 healthy-looking tomato plants under my grow light. And 3 basil that are probably going to make it. And all the cool-weather crops are doing very well; I might be able to snip off a few leaves of arugula soon.

Growing food, particularly from seed, makes me feel competent and powerful. I literally made food out of nothing.

Got my security deposit back from the room I was renting. I kind of forgot about it up until about 5 days ago, so it was like a bonus chunk of money I wasn’t counting on!

And you’re out of that rooming situation! Yay!

The street sweeper went by right in front of our house just now. Yay! This never happens, because someone from across the street usually parks, loiters and litters in front of our house, or the cars are spaced apart just enough that street sweepers and snow plows consistently miss the front of our house. I think they think that street sweeping by the city means it’s okay for them to litter, despite us telling them otherwise. There is plenty of parking in our neighborhood on people’s parking pads behind their homes, so this isn’t the unavoidable urban parking situation. I do fully realize we don’t have the rights to the street in front of our house and this is a personal pet peave, but it is still a nuisance to us. We don’t even have a carriage walk to the street anymore, because jerkos consistently blocked it, and we would have been charged to replace it when the city decided it needed replacing, but instead took the free option for removal only.

I found the hinges to be able to install this cupboard door. Now only two cupboard doors are still uninstalled, but I can’t do anything about that until Ikea re opens.

I finally figured out how to make a massive project work. There are several different pieces that are maintained by different entities, and none of them agree on any one standard. While thinking about the absurdity of binoculars, I accidentally ran into how to integrate and automate the whole shebang.

Tiny complaint: Now I have a lot of coding to do.

I have a delicious pizza cooling to cut right now.

Since retrieving some of my belongings from my dad’s place, I also have more color and texture in my apartment with the art propped up against the walls where I want to hang them and some old crochet afghans.
