Daisy is with me all the time. ALL THE TIME. It used to be that when I started putting my shoes on she would go into her kennel because it meant I was leaving, but since I broke my foot I’ve been wearing moccasins all the time, so she can’t use that as her cue any more. Today I noticed that if I put on sweats or leggings she keeps snoozing, but if I put on jeans she gets into the kennel. Even Daisy the Tummy knows what outside pants are.

I was taking an elderly pillow out to the trash (as none of the thrift stores around here take pillows even when they’re open). One of my neighbors was outside too and wanted the pillow for his dogs, so I gave it to him! As I was leaving I could hear him saying to his dogs “oh ho ho, look what I have for you”
Saved a pillow from the landfill and helped a neighbor :+1:

Listening to other people talk to their animals is the best thing.

Today’s TV: how watching Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist made me feel.

Listening to my hubs talk to our bunny is my favorite thing every day. I find it very endearing. People who don’t talk nicely to their animals are not my people.

Duckling is enjoying his birthday. Cake, people, presents, and now TV shows and an orange.

I cleared off the bathroom counter while getting ready this morning. Now the ratio of covered-by-things-space and empty space has been inverted.

It occurred to me today that there are no drug houses on my new block. I have never in my adult life lived more than half a block from a drug house. No wonder it’s so quiet here, and the neighbours are so nice.

Working from home means I can sing along to my spotify playlist loudly, and with no odd looks from my colleagues. This has greatly improved my afternoon.

My friend in old city found three cases of still good apples sitting outside a dumpster at a school (obviously not open right now). I was able to connect her with Food Not Bombs in that city, and now all three cases will be distributed to people and not wasted!

WOOHOO, Home Despot finally shipped my replacement toilet seat and it should be here tomorrow. (Was scheduled to arrive Saturday. We have been almost a week now with a toilet seat that is broken, which is one of those things you don’t realize is important to be NOT broken until it is broken.)

I’m watching sailor moon on Hulu.

Also I should have known I was into girls before high school. I was waaay too into the transformation scenes.

And now there is food. 50 pound bag of flour achieved (currently waiting for viruses to die in the cab of the pickup truck). Giant Walmart order, almost totally fulfilled. It’s been 22 days since we bought any food, and I think we can easily go twice that now, especially with the garden starting up.

Ours is similar to this. Husband wasn’t able to make grocery shopping happen and he’s out of town tomorrow, so we’ll be at 3 weeks since his last grocery trip before the next one.

Also the smell finally faded from my hands. (See tiny complaints thread)

Got a fancy spendy brand sleeper from the local resale shop and it fits her great, was a great price, and was hand delivered to my door. Positively delightful.
