Happy new bra day! This is a one-size bra that claims to fit 31-40, A-DD. It sounds bogus but has been great for me. I’ve been fluctuating a lot in the middle of that range postpartum, so it’s handy to be able to keep wearing the same bras. I have a spaghetti strap one and a sports bra style one, and they are all I wear now.
It feels like you’re not wearing a bra, there’s enough shape for t-shirts, and has fit me through at least 3 size changes.
What magic is this? I need. The straps are always too long on me on the soft stretchy style bras (I have been buying underwire demis from VS for forever (one of the few that the cups are not too big on me) and I recently got one of those soft no wire type bras from VS and it is soft and does fit mostly, but the straps are just a little too long.
Like let’s look at me: my clothes are by ten tree (Canadian online eco friendly) or Joe fresh from the grocery store. I get a produce box and I have a soda stream. Upgraded from an ikea mattress to one from Silk&Snow. Have a lot of bikes and a Thule chariot. Bought myself some knix bras. I have houseplants, essential oils, crystals and tarot decks stored near science textbooks. Loads of reusable bags and straws and ridiculous coffee and tea supplies. I am you, you are me.
And the backpack I used as a diaper bag up till now is too small and the lining is shedding. So I need a new one. And I’ve been looking every time we go shopping and they aren’t working for me. MEC is no longer a coop so I don’t trust them or want to make the drive. I just want internet algorithms to give me a moderately ethical backpack, regular size, range of obnoxiously millennial colours, zip open not the clip top style (my work backpack is that way and didn’t work as a diaper bag).
We also need a bigger kitchen table if your instagram algorithm has suggested one to you, but I’ve already decided we should get a big round piece of something cheap and a pedestal base at Home Depot unless something literally falls in our lap.
I believe you are talking about Herschel or Manhattan Portage. Both v hipster circa 2008 friendly. If you want to go more uptown and spendy I bet you would Like Matt and Nat (all vegan and very pretty shapes). Oh, just thought of another one, Fjallraven. Those are cute and very Millennial, also under $100 (here at least). One more popped in my head, Vera Bradley! LOTS of patterns and way under $100.
Also I didn’t realize until now how many backpack brands I was storing in my brain.
I really love my Mystery Ranch backpack. Some friends recommended the brand because they’ve had packs for 20+ years. I’ve had mine for 5 years and I wash it about once a year and it looks brand new. It zips all the way around and down so you can access things at the bottom without disturbing the top, which I LOVE. I just scanned their website and it looks like they discontinued the one I have which is https://www.rei.com/product/129537/mystery-ranch-kletterwerks-drei-zip-pack
but most of their packs have that same zip feature. There is a similar model here:https://www.rei.com/product/167082/mystery-ranch-urban-assault-21-pack . I wonder if there are some of the more casual ones on eBay because it looks like most of the packs they make now are more technical/hiking looking, which I know is not a look for everyone.
