I like most things! So not very helpful.

My favorite right now is the Tulsi Rose from wholefoods. So sweet and floral are fine.

I do not like fruit in my tea AT ALL. (Ok lemon is a small, occasional exception)

Drive by post while I cook dinner - Kiddo’s graduating out of his car seat. Recommendations for a booster seat that’s easy to buckle with one weak hand or single handedly? Or do we just have to go test them at stores?

Not quite what you asked but could open up options. There are car seat tools you can get to help unbuckle.

Are you looking for a combo seat or a booster? I just bout a Britax booster for our car and a 5yo can buckle his own darn self in now.

Has anyone here bought a Tempurpedic or Purple mattress lately, and do you regret or recommend? Would especially be interested in hearing from people on the smaller end of the human size distribution or those who share a bed with them.

It’s been 3 days so maybe this response is too late but I upgraded my 5 year old SE to a 12 mini recently and I LOVE it. The portrait mode for photos is my favorite part but it’s all nice.

ETA also I was running out of space and now I’m not which is really nice.

Not a tempurpedic or purple but we have a lucid memory foam mattress. They are fairly inexpensive and this is the second one I have bought. The first is now in our guest room and is 10 years old. We wanted a king so that’s the major reason for getting a new one.

I tried a tempurpedic and am a small person (5’1", 103-ish). I didn’t like it because it increased my back pain. I felt like it wasn’t supportive so much as eating me? Like it forced my shoulders forward as I sank in, and I wonder if it’s because I’m light? It was like my ass would sink way in, and my upper back would sink way in, but my limbs wouldn’t at all. If that makes sense? My body is also super irregular so YMMV, but my husband who is both standard-issue and also weighs more than I do found it very comfortable!

I swapped it for our current sleep number bed, which is basically a glorified air mattress but I prefer it. I haven’t tried purple mattresses but I’ve tried their chair pads and they are pretty amazing. If I were buying a bed now I’d be tempted to try a purple bed. Tempurpedic really is just memory foam, so if you like that type of bed I’d go off brand and save money.

Good to know. I sometimes think a sleep number might be the right way to go for us. Vastly different sized people in the same bed is a recipe for a sore neck and back. And hips. Also my knees. When did I get old?

Misread, you should def get a sleep number!

I felt the same way about Tempurpedic, I would wake up and my back felt like it had been stepped on every morning. I hated the feeling of being “swallowed” by it. I have a natural latex bed now, and it’s amazing. It doesn’t sink like memory foam, and it’s super supportive but not in a way that makes me stiff/sore in the morning.

Thanks for mattress advice, @AllHat @mountainmustache29 and @gardeningandgreen. We went with the Purple and it should come in a few weeks. Truly can’t wait.

Good bike helmet for a small head (21.5”)? Or is this the sort of thing that I really have to buy in person?

I just went onto a reputable bike shop’s website and picked one in the right size range.

Situation: Our house is a couple feet from the lot line on one side. The view outside our wide kitchen window is of the neighbors side yard and their house. The neighbors on that side are at a higher elevation than us so they can easily see in our window, and we have a view of their enjoyment of their yard which feels to me like an invasion of their privacy.

I like windows open with fresh air and light coming in. I do want to be able to see outside. What beautiful or interesting item can I put outside of my window to screen our neighbors view of us and vice versa? I want to look out the window and see something beautiful, not block my ability to see outside with a film on the glass.

Other caveats: it’s awkward for us to do work on that side of the house since while a couple of feet of land is ours, it feels like we are in their yard, so I’m looking for a low or no maintenance option and something that can handle a four season climate. Plants that would need to be watered daily would be a bad fit even though we are very much people who love plants. I’m also hoping to spend no more than $100-$200. Halp.
