I use Google KeepNotes, which is already on my phone and tablet. Not sure which OS universe you are on, come to think about it. But… I think it does everything you mention and also has a feature that you can tag a list to a specific place and when you are in that place it will notify you of what you wanted to remember while there. A friend who was a teacher used that feature to list things she wanted to get done at work vs. home. I just thought that it probably doesn’t sync to a Microsoft machine, but anyway, it’s on the list.

I have looked at Google Keep, and it is similar to Google tasks although it seems like tasks is more designed for what I’m looking for?

It does open in a browser so works just fine on the desktop. I should play around with it and see if it will work, or maybe in conjunction with google tasks

I need something to keep my lunch contained on my way to work and bring my dirty dishes home in afterwards. It needs to have some leak resistance because sometimes things leak. But it does not actually need to be insulated. I put my lunch in the fridge. Is there some kind of nice contained lunch box thing I could get that is not insulated?

I was using an insulated bag thing that I got free at a shoe store in Las Vegas in 2017, but it finally fell apart. (I wasn’t even buying shoes at the shoe store. My mother was. That’s the level of broke represented by this bag.)

How waterproof does it need to be? Maybe something in waxed canvas or tyvek?

Does just a waterproof diaper bag style work?

These are nice too because you can wash them and they’re cheap and plentiful.

The nice thing about insulated is that the padding protects things a little if you use glass containers. Maybe check the thrift store as the always seem to have a fine assortment of bags and lunch bags. (Though I prefer the size sold as ‘6 pack cooler’ to ‘lunch bag’ because they are shallower.

Do you need fully leakproof? Maybe one of those thinkly insulated zipper grocery bags because they are cheap and I like the insulation as padding idea.

@Star I think write things on paper and let Ares eat it

That is a good point! I think @Cranky is probably right that this is a thrift store problem. I mean, maybe something nice goes on the wish list, but evidence suggests I am not picky! Or maybe I just keeping using one of the boys’ lunch boxes. They get free lunch so they really only use them for field trips.

I have another question. If I want to buy a nice wear to church scarf for an old lady, where could I purchase such a thing on the internet? Last year I got the flu Christmas shopping in person.

Does anybody have a recommendation for silk pillowcases?

I’ve had a couple of different brands and the ones I’ve been the happiest with are Taft brand. They are so thick and luxurious and super soft. The other brands I’ve had are thinner and fall apart so fast, but the Taft ones have held up to weekly machine washing (cold water) for 2 years now which is impressive for silk IMO and they still feel amazing

Thanks for the rec! Do you have any preference for the zipper or envelope type pillowcases? All of my current (non-silk) pillowcases are envelope style, but Taft and other brands also offer the zipper option.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a neck hair trimmer? Mr. Meer mentioned wanting one for in between trips to the barber. Then that led to a rabbit hole of “what if it were a multitool trimmer” and then too many choices and overwhelm.

This is the one I use to tidy up my neckline and when I had the undercut. Multigroom 3500 multipurpose trimmer MG3760/60 | Norelco

Should be around $20 in stores.

Sorry I forgot to respond! I really prefer the zipper option, I find the envelope style slides off since it’s such slippery fabric
