If I want an ereader for library books that is not (always) backlit, is Kindle kind of the only game in town? My 2nd gen model seems to be broken.

Kobo makes e readers that easily interact with non-amazon book sources. Kindle hates library and books from diverse sources.

I’m currently loving the TJ’s Firming Body Butter. It’s super luxurious but light on scent…I typically don’t like anything scented and I can tolerate it. It’s also almost completely gotten rid of the keratosis pilaris on my arms. Oh and it’s only $5.99!

if you want to treat yourself, josie maran’s argan oil body butter is lovely and not too strongly scented, at least for me. i like the vanilla apricot scent – it’s nice when you use it but doesn’t hang around for ages. the texture is very pleasant and it sinks right into the skin. i also heard there is gonna be a 20% sale at sephora on dec 1, because it is prettttty expensive.

Can it download over USB so I don’t lose my emotional support expired library loans by connecting to wifi? Could I “buy” ebooks from Amazon for it or transfer my existing Kindle books? (Sometimes I have digital credit.)

I’ve actually never had trouble getting library books on my Kindle but I’m open to change. I do try to buy less Amazon.

Newer kindles conflict with libraries, from what I hear. Kobos and other non-amazon e readers (there are a few brands, Kobo is the biggest but isn’t special) are easy to load pretty much anything on.

I exclusively use e books so I have opinions about this.

Is there someone at your workplace that helps guests with their tech? That person will have a lot of knowledge about different models.

I looked up some reviews and apparently it has an orange candy kind of smell! The price is awesome though

Thanks for the recommendation! It’s close in price to the Ode which is also $$$. Unfortunately the reviewers were all over the place about the scent, even the unscented one! I think it’s one I might have to go smell in person before buying.

Maybe the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair?

Haha I use that on my face after someone here recommended it and a huge tube was on sale for only $15 (normally $45)! But now I’m running low on my second tube. Maybe I’ll start using it on the body too. Gotta find a good deal again though

if you decide you like it, it’s 25% off on her site right now!

if you want something unscented, the cerave in the tub is lovely and you can use it on both body and face. i also got this airless pump jar to put it in, to make it nicer to dispense.

They have it in a giant 2.5x size tub in Lavender Citrus on her site! I think I need to go for it. That’s totally our kind of scent. I might even get two. I just bought 8oz of body butter in August and we’ve already gone through most of it.

it looks like they have 30 day returns if it turns out to not be the right thing.

Awesome! I was like, will I regret trying an unknown product or will I regret not getting it for a huge discount with free shipping? :joy: Hopefully it lasts for a whole year!

Bought it, and got a free gift of neck serum. Because obviously my neck needs its own specific product :joy:

I mean, we kind of all do. I haven’t heard of people having trouble with Kindle. Hmm.

My kindle info is dubious bias confirmation at best

well you are a woman which means you need as many different creams as you can get your hands on if you want a whisper of hope of not being completely heinous-looking!
