Yoga With Adrienne - 30 Day Journey

Woohoo. Day 6 done. Will do day 7 later.

Felt keenly the sore muscles as I walked home across the park thru the snow with my 35-40lb kid held under my arm.

Day 6 done!

Day 7 done! My abs are sore from yesterday, in a nice way, and the twists felt soooo good. She really put some thought into the order of these days.

I did it! It was great. Now I watch boba Fett and eat ice cream.

Still on Day 3 but it’s completed! I was benched for a few days. Might still be benched; I will know more tomorrow what the cuckoo egg thought of me doing yoga.

My ability to exercise has been uneven because of fertility treatment and pregnancy, and I could not hold the warrior poses for the whole time. But I just took some breaks and went back to it.

Oops. I meant to do it before the airport but waited too long. May do a twofer tomorrow.

Day 5 complete. The adjustment to pigeon pose with the blanket was exceptionally helpful. I did not attempt the move in the thumbnail image, or the deep squat (though I really wish I could have, it looks like a great hip stretch)

I’m planning on doing a twofer tomorrow to catch up, since tomorrow’s is called “Rest” so hopefully chill enough to not be too much after the first.

In the notes for today she mentions bringing a pillow and blanket for tomorrow. So yeah, I think it will be chill.

Got in day 7 just before bed. I’d blocked out time this morning for it but then didn’t do it. I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve practiced yoga 7 days in a row. Yay, us!

I skipped a day, but… definitely the most I’ve done yoga in a week since I actually had a membership at a yoga studio and it was my active hyperfixation like… four years ago? Five?

Day 6 done! Y’all, I haven’t explicitly done core work in ages, so I did my best but it was a lil shaky. I’m almost considering doing the whole series again once I’ve finished and seeing whether it’s easier.

I did have to basically skip the one where you were like on your side with your weight on your elbow and had to lift your hips. My elbow couldn’t take it, though I tried a few times, it bad hurt.

Go and do your yoga. Your mother and I paid good money for that yoga because you asked for it and promised you’d practice everyday.

I was thinking of doing it all over again too. I could also just pick and choose different videos but I think it’ll be better to have the predetermined structure so I don’t even need to pick what video to do.

I’m also considering using previous 30 day yoga challenges to continue the habit but keep getting novelty. I think this is really good for me.

I would join ongoing yoga accountability.

I have a couple other programs I want to do this year, and I can always throw in some Down Dog restorative for rest days.

Cuckoo egg did not seem to mind yoga yesterday, so Day 4 is done! I know there was a lot of stillness but the movement part felt challenging because it was quicker. My cardio fitness has just vanished, apparently. I had to take more breaths than she did.

Wellp, I didn’t do yoga this morning but I made a loaf of banana chocolate braided bread so that basically counts, right?
