Yoga With Adrienne - 30 Day Journey

Technically it’s no longer today BUT
I felt bad physically and emotionally and didn’t want to do this, but it was kind of fun and I learned somethings and my left heel touched the ground in down dog for the first time this month.

I thought @Elle as already executed Step 1 but I agree, generally, that it should precede the other two. Good catch.

I said it about lots of things, but not specifically about throwing out the towels yet!

Silver lining? One of the three is a blue towel that I regret buying but have two of. We won’t talk about my feelings towards the other two glass towels

Sorry you were down with a migraine but I’m impressed you still did yoga!

We throw away glass infused towels. This has happened often enough that it’s, like, a procedure. One takes an old hand towel or dish towel from the rag bin.

Day 19 done! I am still struggling to hold some of the poses but trying to breathe through the discomfort. With mixed success. My general fitness is just super poor right now for a variety of reasons but I’m really happy to have this challenge to do.

I had to take a pee break… in a 20 minute yoga video… good times. At least it occurred to me that I could back her up several seconds so I wouldn’t have to rush to catch up.

I am done with day 25! I really enjoyed today’s video. My whole body felt very strong today.

Also done with day 25. I had trouble staying still for the breathing exercise in the beginning - I wanted to get moving! But I liked today once we did start to move.

Day 18 complete. There is something about being more than a week ‘behind’ which my brain feels is worse than being 6 or 7 days off the posting schedule. Today started off with a very challenging downward dog, but the subsequent ones were actually quite good. I think this is the first time I did the down dog to walk to front of the mat without going through many other spaces first.

Knee did not like pretzel in one direction (didn’t care about the other), and is suggesting some ice now.

My knee also only accepts pretzeling in one direction.

Oops, did day 25 yesterday but forgot to post it.

@plainjane and @Crow, I can’t really pretzel at all anymore! It was dicey before I got pregnant. I am not very pregnant but my belly is less easily squished into submission than it was several weeks ago.

Anyway, I got day 20 done! It was a good one!

Anyone else notice that they have to sneak in extra breaths ?

Yes! Adriene often talks too much between “breaths”

Did day 20 and 21 yesterday and 22 today. Still a couple days behind but almost 4 weeks of very regular yoga is more than I’ve ever done!

I did day 26 today and I felt weak. I was also drenched in sweat by the end. I might need to eat a little more before doing it from now on.

Also - my only complaint with Adrienne is that she talks between breaths. Like, breathe in - talk talk talk talk - breathe out. And then on the other side she just does one breathe, so you end up holding the pose long on one side and shorter on the other.

Day 19 complete. The split is a joke, but weirdly, the biggest blocker I had was as the very end, cross ankles and flip back to sitting. I know we’ve done it before, but today my body was just sending strong ‘no’ signals. Not pain, just a wave of upset. It took like a minute to calm down enough to do it.

It’s almost midnight and I want to go to bed but I haven’t done my yoga yet. Gonna do it so I don’t break my 25-day streak.

Day 26 done! With a new-to-me pose - horizon? That was interesting.

I’m really impressed with your streak and your willingness to do late night yoga! I missed yoga yesterday when I didn’t get home until around dinner time, I never considered doing yoga after dinner.
