Yoga With Adrienne - 30 Day Journey

What a twofer! My abs are still sore from yesterday.

Well, I had a nice big block of time free this morning so I did a 30 minute cycling workout and then intended to do yoga. I was met with a toddler who had pooped her pants so I cleaned that up and then started yoga. After 8 minutes my phone started blowing up and IMs came in. I had 2 people who urgently needed to talk to me for work, at the same time. I talked to one on the phone, while dealing with the other on IM at the same time, and now I am in a meeting :woman_facepalming: When this meeting ends I have the toddler’s virtual speech therapy and then hopefully I can get back to yoga and finish it for the day?

Day 23 done. One week left!

Day 16 done. My balance does not feel great. I’m not sure if that’s because I’m pregnant or just because I haven’t kept up with balancing. When I went to the gym regularly, I always did one-legged exercises, but that’s been close to 2 years now and I don’t do as much at home. But, it felt good to challenge myself today with the judicious use of a nearby chair.

Day 19 done!

My neck and upper back are still somewhat sore, but I spoke to some of the people I trained with last Friday and they were also sore in that area, which gave me a bit more confidence that it was due to that training session rather than me pulling something (although the sudden appearance was still odd). Anyways, I felt confident enough to take on the next lesson and didn’t have any issues with it

I found time to finish out the day, so Day 23 is done! Only one week left!

Day 18 done, might try to do 19 later. I’m curious what a chat would look like of days I’ve actually done yoga, done double, or done none.

I completed today’s. Really needed it as holding a powered sander for hours today resulted in super painful shoulders. Did some extra shoulder stretches too while I did my foot PT after yoga.

OK, I did manage to find more yoga time and do Day 17 as well as 16. I might need a nap before I make dinner now- I overdid it a bit today.

This made me happy. I read your first post and it was time stamped 7 hours ago. And I thought you were being optimistic about picking it back up…THEN YOU DID!

Day 16, my knee was better than usual during - I could even kneel briefly, but is unhappy now :frowning:

Day 18 done! I wish she had had a better alternative to the pretzel twist. What she suggested didn’t feel like a twist at all, but the full pretzel was super awkward.

Another issue I have is that I can’t bring my feet together and still operate my knees. Anyone else? When she says “feet together, really together” I still don’t make mine touch.

Those sound grumpy but I am still really enjoying the challenge!

Day 24 is done. I’m not feeling all that well and today was hard. But I did it. I’m glad that I did it.

Day 24 complete. I don’t think it was quite enough to undo the damage the last few days woodworking has done to my body, but it certainly helped. For that I am grateful.

Day 17 done. I’m not sure how that 20 minutes went by that quickly. weird foot cramping in pigeon, but a folded blanket under the hip certainly helps me with the pose.

I think I have the opposite problem, I can’t have feet together with straight legs (I’m slightly knock kneed). So given a direction to have “feet together, legs straight” I get as close as I can but either have slightly bent knees or separate feet, depending on the exercise. Idk if that helps?

Yesterday we did cosmic kids yoga. It wasn’t yoga but it was a little cosmic and would be better with psychedelics. Her telling of frozen was pretty good. It wasn’t prenatal friendly with all the ups and downs so I didn’t do jungle or frozen. Then I put on a ten minute prenatal one and didn’t fetch water during it so the two year old broke a glass and then we went upstairs crying. So basically I did really well at it.

Anyone know how to get embedded glass kit of three towels? They were on the puddle over night so water softnend them and the glass dried in and they are sitting on my washing machine until I see something that I should washed with them. Toddler clothes no, toddler pee soaked bedding no, toddler diapers definitely not. My clothes absolutely not. I guess if I need to wash something for a roommate? But they have separate laundry in the basement.

I’ve done two naos and am mostly asleep. Maybe a yoga meditation tonight

  1. Put towels in trash.
  2. Buy new towels.

I wouldn’t risk retaining tiny embedded shards, personally, sorry.

Day 24 done. I was down with migraine all day and didn’t do any of the things on my todo list, but I did this!

I have a similar but slightly longer approach

  1. “FUCK.”
