Worth it... Objects of Acquisition

In writing this out i had a sudden thought and realized what I probably should have done at my last job.

It wouldn’t have changed the weird culture or their habit of paying suppliers 3 to 6 months late, but I would probably have stayed longer to see if the approach could get traction.

I did zoom yoga instead of youtube or self guided and it was SO GOOD. Corrections! Finding my postpartum imbalances! Free at least this week, and then I need to figure out payment

I bought a Pado Pure wave percussion massager from a facebook ad 4 months ago. It is magic.

Highly recommend

This is reminding me I really want a bench scraper. Putting it on my to-order list.

Those little hydrocolloid dots for acne. This post brought to you by the number 1 and the letter Z, as in “bug painful zit I had on my shoulder yesterday”!

PS I can’t tell if the ones with the tiny pokey bits do anything extra that makes them worth it, so probably not.

Is that one of the “punchy” ones?
I’ve used a few of those in the gym, particularly on my feet and liked them but I haven’t quite considered whether it’s worth it just for my feet.

It is, but it also has a bunch of interchangeable heads, so the degree of punch can be spread out.

Mine also have a vibrating side, which is nice for tmj.

We bought a new cover for our doona in winter and we just pulled it out to be an extra rug because it’s a bit cool & humid last night. I was really unsure I’d picked a nice one when I saw it in the package but it has this lovely waffle texture and looks beautiful in our grey and blue room.

Google tells me a doona is a stroller (pram, baby carriage)? One of these:

I think it’s Aussie for duvet. Doona is a collapsible brand of US stroller though, you’re correct there haha.

Language is weird and wonderful.

There’s a reason I had to make a translation guide for the original baby and pregnancy thread haha! Between UK, US, and Aus, we had lots of words that even would be the same word but with different meanings!

Uh, yes, a duvet. Heh.

I also like waffle rugs for babies though so maybe I should get a few new rugs to put over her in the pram/stroller/ device with wheels for taking baby for walkies.

Also rug is a blanket. I know this because we have a really nice Scottish blanket that is labeled “utility rug”. It is not meant to be a floor covering :joy:

Uuuuh yes blanket, not a floor mat…

Have I mentioned this yet? Tofu cat litter. It tracks less than pine, and clumps well and does not stick to the bottom of the box. We’re at 90% tofu 10% pine today thanks to a slow slow transition, but so far very good

This is so confusing – is it really made of tofu?

I think bean dregs from tofu and soy milk production

And cornstarch for clumping

my partner got me a bunch of hats and watches in different colors for Valentine’s Day, and I love that they were very cheap and don’t require much maintenance but really change up the flavor of an outfit! look at me, learning to accessorize
