Who got their FLU SHOT?

I got them both last week and the boys got them yesterday. I was knocked on my ass this time and may have still been off almost a week later! (Fatigue and racing heart rate - could be side effects or something else.)

I got flu but not Covid yet, I should do that in the next few weeks.

 did the same thing and I wouldn’t do that again… I felt pretty rough for 24 hours afterwards. Funnily enough, My Wife went to get her’s a month later and the doc told her they don’t recommend doing both shots at the same kind anymore… No shit!..

Just got my Covid shot! (finally) (I had Covid in Aug and they generally advise waiting 3 mos, a nurse told me 4 was ok/better)

Jab was extra aggressive for some reason! Like dartboard style or smtn.

During the month of October I got these:

Covid
Flu
RSV
Latest pneumonia vaccine
Tetanus

I got the 2 step shingles vaccines a couple of years ago. That is the one thing I want to be sure to be inoculated against.

This is a LOT of doctoring for me, the person who didn’t go to a doctor for 12+ years and never got flu shots. Now that I am old and presumably frailer, I take these a little more seriously.

That’s awesome! Good for you for putting in the work and time (and downtime for vaccine reactions) to protect your health long term.

I got mine last month.
Thought I would drop this info here. Louisiana public health departments are not allowed to promote or talk about the flu, covid or Mpox vaccines.

Yeahhhhhhh. WTF? Why? “Bodily autonomy” unless you’re pregnant? Vaxxes bad because Democrats tend to favor them? FFS.

At least the NOLA public health dept was like “yeah, no, vaccines are good and we will promote them.”

Just got mine and both kids done! Time to remind my siblings that it’s free to end of June.

Stabbed for flu and Hep A (the latter being annoying because I swear I’ve already had this one, but it’s not in my shot record and it’s very much recommended for where I’m going, so here we go). But apparently while they have the new Covid vaccine in stock, they can’t give it to anyone until the CDC meets/votes (?) which means the 18th at best

i got the flu vaccine and covid vaccine! yay. i think former smoker and current smoker was on the list for pre-existing conditions, and checked them online—so while i’m really trying not to smoke again, i would have had no qualms brandishing a pack and acting like i would light one up to prove it if i was denied. (i was denied the covid vaccine earlier this year and i was like, wtf really come on).

Flu, COVID, and RSV shots on board. Had to cross state lines for the COVID after all. I got a prescription, but the CVS assigned me an appointment for it without so much as letting me know they were gonna and there was no way to change it. I’m guessing they really don’t want to do COVID vaccines in my state.

I haven’t done it yet, but at least I know it’ll be covered!

If you can, you should try to get it before Friday. The CDC meeting on Thursday-Friday is likely to change the rules in eligibility. We went ahead with ours last week because no telling if we’d be able to get them next week.

Does the Washington Oregon California state health compact thing supersede federal attempts to block access?
