I got flu a few weeks ago and all 3 kids and the Boy have as well but Kaiser seems to be struggling with the updated boosters (and of course they aren’t out for kids under 12 at all) so we’re not there yet.
I had to cancel my joint flu/COVID shot because I got COVID.
Solidarity. The booster came out days after I got covid. I hope you get feeling better quickly!
Flu shot will get rescheduled for whenever I’m not positive for COVID anymore, at least. And then … booster later.
Le sigh to this version of immunity!
Ah, I missed this thread. Got covid and flu shots a couple weeks ago. One in each arm. It totally sucked, BAD side effects, but, done!
Everyone in the family got flu shots over the past few weeks. The girls both got Covid shots too but the adults don’t have them yet. Waiting for Kaiser to open them up for drop ins like with the flu shots. Right now you have to make an appointment if you want one.
You can also request one (here) if you go in for a GP visit.
Well yeah, but that is still making an appointment. That’s how each of the girls got theirs - at their GP visits DH got his flu shot at a GP visit too but the new covid booster wasn’t out yet so we held off. The girls didn’t get the updated one, but since the one for kids isn’t out yet we decided the old one was better than none.
Got my flu shot and COVID booster, woohoo!
I got my flu shot today and the new covid shot a few weeks ago.
Got it today! My OB doesn’t have the new Covid yet, so still waiting on that though. And still need to get Husband and older kid for both.
Just got flu and COVID shots!
Same! Got my flu and Covid shots. Husbo threw in his shingles shots as well.
i got my flu shot and new covid shot!
Got mine today!
DH and I got the Novavax last week. RSV next.
As the mother of a newborn- thank you thank you thank you.
covid/flu, one in each arm. tbd if I will regret not having a comfortable side to sleep on, or better to spread the discomfort.
I am sad that it was already walk in, but also it was convenient
I expected to get one in each arm. I asked the pharmacist what he recommended. He didn’t give a recommendation, but said most people do same arm to have a comfortable sleeping side. So that’s what I did. That arm was really sore.
I hope that with only one in each arm you are well balanced and not overly sore on either side.
flu more sore than covid, which is good since covid is my dominant arm.
also, I’m waiting for my gauge swatch to dry, so no knitting
