I mean, there are definitely neighborhoods where that’s a possibility. Not gonna help with your immunity though.
I wonder if we will have parking lot vaccinations for flu this year like the pet shot clinics that pop up every once in a while.

I was reading this and thinking “that’s a little early, I’ll wait til August I think”
Time has no meaning
omg me too.
I did the same thing earlier this year when it was time to get our flu shots. “We’ll do it in May. What do you mean it’s 15 May already?!”
I just saw a news headline (of course I couldn’t get it to give me the actual article) that all 50 states now allow pharmacists to administer flu shots to children. Of course, whether they stock a pediatric dosage is another question entirely.
Usually I get mine in October but since I might get laid off in October, thinking I’d better do it in September while I still have insurance so it’s free. Which is in 2 days, EEP.
I read that if you get it too early then it might crap out before flu season’s over. I didn’t know that. I guess if I push it until late Sept. that would probably be ok?
The advice I’m seeing is to wait until September, but it hasn’t specified whebn in September. Talked to my doctors office at the end of the week, and they said come on, but of course they want people to get it rather than not get it. Still think we’ll get ours next week because out here, we can’t guarantee there will be enough to go around.
Yeah, I think I’ll shoot for mid-late Sept.
I always feel horribly ill for a day after the shot with fatigue and body aches, so that’ll be fun, playing the “shot side effects or covid?” game. Ugh. Yes, I am still getting the damn shot though!
Yeah, same symptoms here, but at least I have virtually no exposure.
I need to make an appointment with my doctor’s office for a flu shot. I may need a little bit of nudging to get over the medical overwhelm and do it though.
Mine this year was super easy and you can pick a tasty treats for after!
Gentle nudge. And more hugs.
Warning, given your “current state” it’s possible GP will tell you OB has to do it. Or vice versa immunizations are a pain when pregnant.
That seems stupid. But I guess I’ll be in the obgyn’s office next week and I can ask if I can get my flu shot while there?
Could save you a trip.
Both of us got flu shots, drive-in at our GP this morning. Neither the tech who brought us the paperwork nor the nurse who gave us the shot was wearing a mask. We were outdoors, it’s true, but both were literally in contact with us. And they are medical professionals.
Wow. That sucks.
Not at all surprising, here.
This is my accountability post to say that Boyfriend and I are going to Walgreens at 7 a.m. Friday to get our flu shots. He adulted today and figured out where his insurance lets him go; he apparently cannot go to CVS where we usually get them.
Doing it on Friday because I usually feel SUPER sick with flulike symptoms the next day. So, that’ll be a fun round of side-effects-or-covid? UGHHHHHHH
Finally feeling like a human again today after getting my flu shot on Wednesday. (Aches, fatigues, and low fever are normal for me.)
