I was sad that none of the Targets here had the cardboard haunted house hidey hole/scratcher thingy for kitties, and it was sold out online too. My friend was in Indiana and happened to find one for her cats at a Target there. Her cats ignored it, so she passed it on to me today, and my cats are thoroughly enjoying it. Free!

Tonight for Thanksgiving my friends showed up with vast quantities of delicious food. We all ate together and I provided dessert then we watched the first half of Fiddler On The Roof. When they were packing up to go there were a bunch of kids practicing their FotR dance moves, with arms flailing all over the place. Adults joined in. If I Were a Rich Man a Capella dance party.

I got myself home after IUD insertion!

Now to lay about and feed myself Mac and cheese and ice cream. I had aspirations of reading several books but for now I’m gonna watch Hulu.

The kitties had their first adult-kitty checkup and were found to be in perfect health!

(Tiny complaint: Boy Kitty said HISS for the first time at the vet. There were also many GRRRRRs. He did not like being examined one bit. Poor little guy. Girl Kitty seemed completely unfazed though!)

My glasses have been scratched up for ages. I was thinking about replacing them. Today I found my backup glasses, unscratched and forgotten. The world is a lot clearer when I’m not looking at it through trashed lenses.

Last week I had a helpful, informative consult with a specialist. It was the best medical appointment I’ve had in years.
Today I saw my therapist and we talked about what I learned at the appointment. There is a lot of stuff I need to figure out.
When I got home from therapy there was a letter in the mail from the specialist. She had been thinking about me and had further thoughts and suggestions. A hand written letter from a busy stranger.
It’s all very cool.

I just walked into the living room to find that my front door has been open a few inches for probably the last three hours. In a panic I ran to the door and flung it open, where I found the (indoor) cat sitting on the welcome mat, looking in, wondering what all the fuss was about. GOOD BOY, CHOPSTICKS, GOOD BOY!!!
