I was having a bath and noticed a loud songbird serenading the world, so I called down to the shadowy one to get an ID, and Merlin says it was a wood thrush. Beautiful sound, very distinct.
I’m pleased I was able to recognize that it probably wasn’t one of the usual suspects

Rose breasted Grosbeak at the feeders this morning. I don’t get a lot of “good” birds so it’s always exciting.
We had 2 here at our feeders, too!

I agreed to group dinner plans for tonight when I was feeling far more social. The dinner got rescheduled before I had to make up an excuse not to go
