Not tiny!

My nieces Mexican husband passed his green card interview today! They’ve been waiting for 2 1/2 years and he should be here in a few weeks. He’s never been allowed to visit here so they’ve only had a couple of weeks at a time together a couple of times a year. Together for 5 years and married almost 3. :two_hearts:

I just saw this earlier. YAY!

Of course the Orange Menace will try to force this before the Supreme Court after he has a social media toddler meltdown tonight.

We had gorgeous weather so I got so many garage and yard things done this weekend. I still have a bit more planting to do in the next couple of days then it will be an easy maintenance period for a bit.

Husband and I repaired our microwave/air fryer/convection oven combo. Stupid plastic bracket that held the lever that opens the door broke because made of cheap plastic. It was an itty bitty thing in an awkward spot, but after some disassembly we were able to get to it with Superglue plus a piece of a ziptie superglued around the outside for reinforcement. Hopefully the thing will open for quite some time now, and if not, at least wenow know what to take off to get to the door lever.

I would bet that part can be 3d printed, next time.

Well done smart friends.

We thought of that, but it seems to be part of the plastic faceplate that holds the touch pad electronics, so it would have been a real undertaking both to reproduce and then to move all the wiring.

TV: after sourcing two different parts that didn’t fit in the opening on the back of the dryer, the nice man at the appliance parts store gave me one that fits…for free!

TC: new problem with this part has revealed itself.

Edit:
TV#2: since the appliances are not working at home, I had to use a laundromat. I found one close by that is pretty great, as far as these things go.

Nieces husband will be landing in her city at 2:30 tomorrow! It only took a week to get papers after his interview. Also, her 30th birthday is Sunday and they’ll be together. :two_hearts:

Congrats! @turtlegirl !

I finally finished knitting my sweater! I am going to weave in loose ends and block it next. Then sew in a zipper. Then it will be totally finished. BUT it is finally off my needles! That took about two months.
