Oh good question, and yes you are correct it is attached.
Still great as a Waxpot - I usually just toss candle stubs in until it’s full then turn it on to melt them. No need to actually clean since it isn’t food.

I also used to have that same crockpot. The lid was smashed in my last move, so I took the opportunity to upgrade to a removable crock model.
Those original crockpots are in some demand because they don’t get as hot as later ones do and you can actually summer things.
Unfortunately, that means they may not cook fast enough to be safe, but I survived my crockpot, I just wanted one easier to wash.
I washed the shower curtain in Kiddo’s bathroom that has a neat tree design on it, but the design partially washed off. I thought it looked bad and added “get new shower curtain” to my to do list, then Kiddo said this morning that it looks awesome and like the tree exploded so I guess we’ll keep it and I have one less task on my list!
Speaking of tasks, I emailed someone this morning requesting an evaluation form from almost three years ago. I said they could send it by email or I could come into their office to pick it up (in case I needed to show my ID given the information provided on it) and they emailed it to me within an hour, easy-peasy.
Finally (finally!!) got around to applying for a new credit card that fits our life better and has a sign up bonus (chase freedom unlimited $250 back on $500 spent with 3 months). We’ve been using one with an annual fee and the benefits haven’t been worth the fee for a couple years now…
Also spouse finally called Mint and we’re going to trial their wireless Internet. It’s $30/month and if we keep it then spouse will get unlimited data on his mint plan. We can only get spectrum at our location unless it’s a 5G internet provider and their prices have gone up to $111/month for basic internet! I tried calling to cancel and they basically said to go ahead and cancel so we will be!
My amazing local burger place celebrates 4/20 by selling poutine & cheeseburgers for $4.20 each. It’s their busiest day of the year.
Instead of napping, I made a large batch of stew and am now washing my hair.
I was wondering why the weed shop by my work had a big balloon arch up today!
I did The Thing 2 days ago and I’m still feeling good about it. It took 5 minutes.
Porch tea!!! PORCH TEA
Made a phone call I’d been putting off. I am in the system now and maybe next time i can do this online instead of by phone.
FINALLY - sending in a previously lost stock certificate to the proper authorities for disposal. The company was bought out snd no longer exists. I found the certificate 2.5ish years ago, and got the information on where to send it. And now I am finally sending it. Woohoo!
ETA: using an old prepaid postage envelope - it has a holographic “stamp”. I obviously have to add more postage. ![]()
It was expensive, but I am finally DONE with a project. My oldest has had a ride-or-die favorite lovey from her first birthday. A few months ago I put together a Google photo album of all their photos together. Yesterday I finally turned a bunch of them into a photo book and sent it to print. I know she’ll love this, and I’ll love having it as a keepsake too (that damn bunny has been through so much
) but man it was a lot of work! The apps search is surprisingly not good at finding pics of loveys especially if they’re smashed in weird shapes or dressed up by your children. Labor of love for my nostalgic kid, CHECK.
J1 wanted me to cancel their therapy appointment tomorrow, but didn’t let me know till yesterday.
I told them I’d see what I could do.
Before I got around to calling, the therapist cancelled the therapy appointment tomorrow ![]()
It’s finally t-shirt weather so we celebrated by sharing a large chips while sitting on the Newspaper steps watching the boats go by.
(I’m a very cheap date
)
Sounds fantastic
I will likely delete this (pics) but feel like this is a victory I’d like to share. It will be 6 weeks tomorrow from having the Mohrs procedure on my face which ended with a 4 inch incision. There’s some healing still to be done, but you can hardly notice the scar. And it will only get better.
(poof!)
Your healing looks fantastic. And you have gorgeous blue eyes!
Why thank you - it’s the Dutch in me.
That is barely visible at all. Like I would not have seen it if you hadn’t mentioned it.
