Tiny Victories

Sod is installed, looks great and now I am on watering duty. No mud and muck!!

(I have some pics but they are uploading sideways?? Anyone have ideas or experience with that?)

After a week of dealing with a clogged kitchen sink, the plumber finally came and I have clean dishes, a meal I actually cooked, and I’m not eating on a paper plate!

Which ones did they recall?

Major success on “it really is the damn phone” front. (For me- not saying anything for anyone else). I’ve been locking my phone a ton lately, out of all social media apps and everything I don’t need for just running life stuff. WELL. I did a 4 day trip with the family to the coast and the “tech itch” in my brain was GONE. I had zero issues being present, playing with them, letting my mind wander while staring at the sea. A huge source of sadness the last few years has been my inability to just settle and enjoy being at the beach with my family when we go. :tada: so this felt huge.

I got an email from Costco - Product Safety Recall Notice - Granitesone Diamond Pro Blue Stainless Steel Sauté Pans. It was a 2 pan set (about 12” and 10”].

At heat the caps covering the handle attachment can detach (possibly violently). I never had that problem, the handles were still very firmly attached on mine. I bought these probably at least 5 years ago. Could have been just one manufacturing run with the flaw though.

It is HUGE! You got the phone dopamine hit monkey off of your back.

If only I could go to the sea forever

I volunteered at a food pantry today and they had so many Girl Scout cookies they let me take this home.

Apparently they’re like $6/box now so this is $360 of cookies for free! I’m bragging to everyone I know.

You got a whole case of thin mints! This is not tiny; this is life-changing.

My former muck pit. Now I’m on watering duty. I’m so relieved!

Life is getting better. Sod is 99% doing well. Getting a bit tired of all the watering but it is what it is. The best thing is that dirt and dust being tracked into the house is at least 75% less. I’m so relieved.

I have been watching for a crockpot to melt wax in for firestarters for awhile now.

This morning, one came up on the local buy nothing

Also the same person was getting rid of a spiralizer, which apparently my husband has been looking for. So one stop / two items.

In an ideal world, I’m hoping to find a second insert at a thrift store - one for food, one for wax

Does the crock come out? The original ones did not, which made cleaning them exciting.
