Your toilet paper budget will decrease!
I always use the work bathroom before I leave at lunch and after work.
Tortieres are in the freezer and bagged! Confetti squares made. Hubby ate an entire row before I discovered him…they are for various Christmas parties and DD#2. We’ll see if any survive until Christmas Eve. Also making Danish Butter Cookies (Finnish Nut logs and Raspberry Ribbons).
All in all, a successful day.

Finally some of his supporters are speaking out against him.

All good.
Hubby’s Christmas present bought, and he bought me mine. Major victory there!
Between us, we came up with the idea of using a plastic ice scraper to get to the back wall over the stove where I can NOT reach. YAY! If it works, the thing ends up being NOT a single-use tool and we spend $0 more.
HURRAH!
$1000 Christmas bonus today.
I met my treadmill goal of 125 miles today!
Congratulations!
Congratulations!!!
I’ve been thinking the past couple days that I want to redo my costume for one of my krewes. Well, not total redo, just re-accessorize, I guess?
I had the headpiece sorted - using stuff I was gifted, that I caught, or that I had lying around - but decided I needed a tutu. As one does. Was unsuccessful in thrifting one in an acceptable color, so started trolling Poshmark and Thredup…
… then I was digging some other shit out of my closet when what to my wondering eyes appears: purple and black, not exactly a tutu, but close enough.
I am redoing this costume for absolutely free!
My introvert kid declared she was “overwhelmed by everyone asking her questions” and took herself upstairs at Grandma’s house.
Victories:
-Grandma and Grandpa had a little play room set up just for her
-I get to accompany her while she plays quietly by herself so I also get introvert decompression time
-So many extra points to her for naming her feelings and taking care of her needs
I waded through a shelf of seed beads, other beads, findings, many containers and kept at it until I finished the shelf’s contents – all of it. Beads are a BEAR to sort/cull/organize, and really easy accordingly, to put off. Happens far too often.
I got an unexpected $100 gift card from my new internet company after having their service for 3 months. They never said anything about it. Yay!
Found a 100% Merino wool top from Talbot’s at the thrift store for $3.50. It fits me well.
Oooh nice.
Tow truck company boss gave us $100 bill for letting him and his crew pull a car up through our yard to the street to be loaded and hauled away. More of the story on my new journal “Retirement Reckoning”.
