The end of this article gave me chills! People power!!!
I got all of my shots and wasn’t immune to rubella, and apparently for some people some of their vaccines never stick long term, so i should get a titer dinner to see if it stuck this time or if i need occasional boosters forever.
Delicious!
And notably, we know some people to be resistant to vaccines across the board. From what I’ve read it is recommended that if you have been vaccinated and the vaccine didn’t hold, that you get titers for other immunizations as well. If you’ve bucked one, you may buck more.
Oooh interesting! I will tell my sister who is rubella vaccine resistant in case she hasn’t heard!
I don’t know if it’s standing practice yet? But I saw it written about in medscape
Very good to know, thank you!
I’m on my employer’s queer ERG steering committee and will be making an amigurumi angler fish in pride colors as a raffle prize for folks who use their VTO during Pride.
Two today: federal taxes done (but not filed - state taxes still to be done) and mended 1 garment.
Oops, that wasn’t meant to be a reply to diapasoun. Must have hit the wrong reply button.
Camp #1 complete, ~75 kids cycled through and all of them were able to complete the project. And I got some leftover homemade (camp-made) ice cream for dinner.
TC: Camp #2 is tomorrow, and the people who helped me pack up kind of failed the listening/reading test so I have to unpack/re-pack more than planned rather than just swap project boxes and leave the soldering supplies alone.
For the first time ever, the carniceria in my neighborhood wasn’t out of tamales when I went! I got beef and sweet corn. Omg. They are incredible
And camp #2 also complete (technically that was a couple hours ago, but I pretty much got home and fell directly asleep). Slightly fewer girls this time, probably 50-ish, mostly pretty good. One who didn’t want to be there, refused to do anything, and then complained that when she finally decided to start 10 min before the end of the session that there wasn’t enough time to finish, but at that point it’s kind of…yeah, that’s math.
Chocolate cake with raspberries - yum!
Federal taxes filed!
State taxes done, need to scan & mail. But the payment was made.
My sister sent me this, I assume the numbers are pretty accurate? My coworker argues with me every time I bring up something about this and it makes me nuts. Are the numbers wrong?
I love it! It’s an olive with a hat!
Today reservations opened up for Banff shuttle bookings and I got in the virtual waiting area a few minutes before 7am. Then they randomly assigned me a place in line at 7am and there were 13K+ people ahead of me! It took about 20 minutes to get through but then I was able to successfully book the day and time that my sister wanted for our family trip
Finally acquired a bunch of baby stuff we’ve been needing (like a high chair and a few non-breakable baby bowls/plates). It’s so hard until you just do it and then it’s like half a freaking hour of looking for a few deals.
