Starting to feel like Tax Lifetime! As soon as I’m done with 2022 it will be time to do 2024.
Got my ballot all filled out, will drop it off tomorrow.
(Although ffs, if you want me to vote for something/someone, maybe make some information available about it/you?)
I tried to do one annoying insurance thing and then realized I can’t actually do it till later this week when it’s November.
I successfully did another annoying insurance thing so at least it’s done even if I don’t like the result (dental provider change).
My Tiny Victory is I saw your TV and it reminded me I needed to do an insurance thing, so thank you!
A very sweet young man (maybe 25?) walked across the produce section in the grocery store to give me a nice compliment tonight. I’m not out looking for compliments, but it really seems like people just are not as kind as they used to be or could be. I need to try to remember to be that person more often because it’s a lovely feeling.
I made a vet appointment, refilled a prescription and did two other things which I’ve already forgotten.
TC: there was something else I was supposed to do, but can’t remember what that is either.
Some of my washed laundry has been smelly, and I’ve been doing more reading about laundry than I would choose to figure out how to solve it. A full cup of vinegar in the fabric softener slot did the trick, and some previously smelly clothes smell much better. YAY
I had towels that smelled mildewy and I soaked them in a bucket with vinegar and water overnight. That extra time soaking will clear it up even better!
Also running stuff through a hot wash after. The hot water really helps with smells.
Do the clothes smell like vinegar at all afterwards?
@Meowmalade These are all my clothes that can’t go in hot water. Such a relief!
@Benson no vinegar smell - this load was a mix of cotton, cotton blend, and workout clothes, and none of them smelled vinegary.
Vinegar smell always comes out with a wash!
I often wash my kids clothes with vinegar, no smell after
Vinegar is laundry magic.
So my company sponsors a lot of charity campaigns where you can donate through the company’s platform and the company will match your donation. I just learned that if you donate outside of the official company platform, you can submit your donation receipt and get a match anyways!!
Starbucks is going to stop charging extra for non-dairy milk
I feel like that’s a cost they can absorb in their profits lol. How much was it?
I think it might vary by location, but here in NYC it’s an 80 cent add-on. They’ve upped the prices of lattes so much it tipped the total into dealbreaker territory for me and I’ve only been buying other drinks lately. A grande PSL with soy* is almost $9 with tax right now! Rumor has it the change goes into effect 11/7.
*I’m okay with the amount of dairy in the pumpkin sauce itself, and even the whipped cream, but filling the whole cup with regular milk is too much for my stomach.
I think they’re actually trying to dodge a lawsuit?. If I recall correctly, I saw something earlier this year about somebody suing them over discriminating against people with allergies by charging extra.
I think I saw that!
This is a victory!
