Tiny Victories

Also Tony Victor: find dinosaur shaped “tastes like chicken” nuggets at the shops. Fingers crossed the smol one likes the taste.

I have figured out a dear friend’s birthday present. More significant as it has to be something that they can travel with.

Also found a place for their birthday cake.

Is it a pony?

Maybe! Do ponies fit in carry-on?

They carry the carry-on.

I heard this friend is travelling with only a backpack, and is mailing things home as needed.

If you mail home birthday cake and a pony, will they be in good health later?

I would use the pony express.

I have a last-minute business trip to Seattle Sun-Tues for a conference, because my co-worker had to cancel! This is a victory because I have been OMG SO EFFING BORED at my job lately and this looks really interesting and like I’ll learn some new stuff. Seriously, like, falling asleep at desk, if-I-have-to-do-another-damn-project-that-looks-like-nothing-but-boring-charts-I-will-scream bored.

Free food, too, since I get to expense everything and the conference feeds us, apparently quite deliciously. I find meal planning and staying under a grocery budget very stressful and have been failing at it, so just not having to think about that for a few days sounds amazing.

I had a $3 microwave fried rice bowl instead of a $10 burrito with guac, and now I feel energized in the middle of a work day instead of too-much-food crashing.

I went swimming. Now I’m so ridiculously relaxed and happy.

Made banana bread from an old family recipe but made it GF and halved the sugar. Then I decided it needed a drizzle of something on top and made a lovely lemon icing. I am excited for tomorrow me at breakfast because this tastes so good.

Salvaged my over done quince jelly from the other day and made quince toffee, have popped half into the kids ‘icypole on a stick’ tray and the other in shaped ice cube trays, so they’ll be edible sizes rather than toffee in a jar.

Sold our futon! We bought it for $100 to bridge the gap until we got a new couch after selling our old with the house. Well today months later we sold it for $100, plus $20 for delivery! That worked out well.

I almost had to do laundry, but when I got home, my stuff had arrived from TN. I am SWIMMING in extra underwear. Now I can eat dinner and be lazy.

I brought enough food to work, for the first time in ages.

I slept in until 7:15am every day this week except for one. This is amazing. Tony Victor! :trophy:

I hired someone to build a bedroom in the basement of the rental house. Hiring him cost just under $4,000. The room adds more than four grand in value to the house.
I feel like when you’re playing monopoly and you get the first house on the board.

I went to the climbing gym and climbed a V3 yesterday!

My pre-ttc goal is a V4, but at this rate I might even be able to hit a V5.
