New arrangement in my house: each of us cooks two dinners a week, planned the previous week. The 7th night is leftovers or take out. My kids are mining their brains and our books for meal ideas.

I had a $500 checking account bonus post today. Woot! I was extremely skeptical that I would actually get it, because that is a big bonus for just opening a checking account with a few direct deposits…I figured there must be some loophole I was missing, but I guess not!

Husband qualifies for unemployment, eligibility retroactive to early February. Now to see if he ever sees any money from it.

I have a couple of family members who had the standard hard time filing, but started getting deposits a few weeks later. I think it does work, it just takes a while.

Not tiny: our college president has declared she’s not going to the conference in July, and that they really need to hurry up and make it virtual because the longer the wait the harder that’s going to be. She’s not going to go herself, so she’s not going to push me to go. ( I wasn’t going, but I wasn’t sure how much political capital I was going to have to spend in the process of not going).
ETA: She pointed out we’re probably legislatively forbidden from work travel at least through August, anyway.

I engaged in a bit of self-control. My local yarn store is offering $20 tickets to a Zoom meeting with a pattern designer who made matching human and cat sweaters. It’s unclear whether her patterns include the cat sweaters, or if she just made one for the sample photo.
Also unclear: would I actually finish a sweater? It seems like a lot of commitment. Would any of my cats wear a sweater? Instead I decided to set aside some time for working on projects I’ve already started.
