I’ve been posting about this in the Covid thread, but thought there are probably people here who are not reading that, so I’m going to put it here too. Hope that’s ok! Anyway, my mom has been making masks which I am happy to mail out to anyone who wants them. Right now I only have these two left, but will have more this weekend. Tan dots reverses to black dots.
I got chicken at Costco, and tequila, and fancy olives and balsamic vinegar (and other stuff). And again I see how lucky I am to have access to lots of posh food and be able to afford it.
My customer’s package that I thought went poof is now at least moving! It hasn’t left IL yet but the tracking is showing that it is moving, and not stuck on “preshipment” which means the customer thinks I didn’t bother to mail it. WHEW.
My baby makes delightful kissy noises. And is obsessed with the dog. Who needs fancy electronic tummy time toys when you have a sleeping lump of doggo nearby to incentivize your baby?
I have a dentist appt for next week for that busted seal thing on my molar. I’m really thankful for our dentist, and that she’s still open for emergency stuff like this.
Fax saga continues. Today the software tells me we have a poor phone line connection and the fax won’t come through cleanly. Likely true- our phone lines are sometimes spotty, especially after a rain. We’ll try again tomorrow.
Mr H’s aunt routinely gives Ewok too-small clothes for his birthday (in her defence, he’s a tall kid). This birthday, she’s bought him clothes one size too big!! He can grow into them! VICTORY.
My body didn’t want to fall asleep last night so I moved out to the couch. This morning Mr. Meer and Kiddo emerged before proper wake up time (morning people, I swear) and he told Kiddo that mommy had to go back to sleep. I made good on my escape and laid down for another hour. Then once I was up properly there was coffee ready and blueberry muffins in the fridge, both made by Mr. Meer.
He can be grumpy a lot of the time as his default setting, but he’s a good egg.
My cats make all this a tiny bit easier. This morning, a robin was sitting on a telephone line outside our building in full view of Boy Kitty from his perch atop the fridge, and he was making little “mrrrrrrr” and chattering noises at it. Meanwhile, one of the people living in the building next door let his cat wander around their little courtyard (which has high walls so it’s probably relatively safe) in full view of Girl Kitty from her Cat TV window in our bedroom. They were both so happy and excited, it was very sweet.
Total wine has same day delivery and I now have 5 bottles of extra dry champagne arriving just in time for Bobbin’s bed time. We’re celebrating making it through the day.
