Daisy tries to make herself look smaller a lot. Somehow this boxer/ mastiff curls up into a tiny ball. Nacho likes to stretch out. He’s like 10 lbs or something. Animals are weird.

Finally got my daughter to finish last week’s schoolwork. By 10 pm Sunday night. 
Husband and I have discussed it and we think maybe this “have a teenager” thing was a mistake. We’d like our sweet 7-year-old back now.

I was very pleased that my bird feeder attracted a cardinal even though I haven’t put out the bird seed yet. I thought I was going to get a nice picture but I wasn’t quite fast enough so it’s just a blur. The tiniest of victories.

I made triple chocolate cupcakes (from a mix) with chocolate mocha confectioners sugar icing (homemade). It’s been years since I had that style of icing. I’d forgotten how much I like it.

I used a new sewing pattern and it worked really well!
(Complaint: I realised afterwards that the tension was off and now need to sew over all the pieces for stability).

On Saturday, D bought a four-pack of blueberry soda that we’d never tried before. I thought it was delicious and had a bottle on Saturday and a bottle on Sunday; D also had a bottle. On Monday, I was at work and felt sad that there would be no more blueberry soda left. When I got home from work, totally unprompted, D told me that he had left the last blueberry soda for me, since I liked it so much.
