Tiny Victories

My eyes have been killing me lately, to the point that I have to rip out my contacts, clean them, and put them back in numerous times every day. I figured this was because I am grossly overdue for an eye exam and new contacts (I wear gas permeable so you just wear the same pair over and over again). But, that’s all shut down so can’t do anything about it now.

Yesterday, I used a different mascara and my eyes were mostly fine until the end of the day! Same thing this morning. So relieved that this was a simple fix, this isn’t the first time I’ve randomly become allergic to eye makeup I’ve been using for years. So happy to not be in pain any more.

You should be able to order contacts without a prescription online if you know your measurements. Could be worth it?

I don’t, and I haven’t been to the eye doctor in over 4 years.
(Plus, I need progressives now. :frowning: )

Boyfriend did a very early morning grocery run and brought home bananas. Which weren’t on the list, but he’d remembered I mentioned wanting banana bread the other day.

THERE WILL BE BANANA BREAD. Well, eventually, these are kinda underripe so far.

I accomplished stuff today. This is kind of a big deal because I’ve been extra lazy the last few days.

Figured SirB was going to be gone about 12-14 hours today. Looking like it’ll only be 10. :raised_hands:

Also, my neighbors are taking Lil Pup for a couple hours for a play date with their Pup. Burn off energy for both of them and get me some time to not worry about her, so grateful.

I don’t need to let a contractor go who wasn’t getting along with their team lead.

We’ve (me, the manager of the team lead, and person who manages another person on that team) decided they just are a bad fit together and tomorrow we’re going to propose a wholesale swap of the team, so it doesn’t look like my person is the problem.

Make it fit the “not my circus” category is my best work thing solution option.

I mean, Neptune and Jupiter. And later on the Sailor Starlights!!

(I’m not into girls, OR the proper demographic (I was in high school when it first aired), but I loved Sailor Moon back in the day. It never occurred to me that it is SUPER WEIRD that a college student would ever be interested in a middle school girl. :grimacing: But maybe I should watch the reboot, because I never did when they made it. :joy:)

I don’t think I ever got to watch more than the first season. We never had cable so I think I watched like one season at my friend’s house.

I’m very excited to get to the point in the series where Neptune and Jupiter make an appearance.

The person I bought the masks from on Etsy (that got shipped to the wrong address) lives a 17-minute drive away. She’s replacing the masks and D is picking them up from her house today.

We had bacon and eggs and hash browns and pineapple and cake for dinner. Delicious. Kiddo, who is learning Spanish, proposed a huevos on jueves tradition.
I approve.

I used a hotter oven for my bread and it came out tastier!

We ate 2/3 of the loaf in a few hours. There’s a little left for breakfast.

We bought (NEW because pandemic, ugh), a high chair for the baby, and it fits her very well (she’s tiny) and makes life much easier for me for doing foods with her! Plus it was one of the less expensive options ($39) and is a space saver model.

Also, watching a baby wave strips of egg around is HILARIOUS. Especially when a dog is sitting there trying so very hard to be good and wait for food to drop.

It makes me absurdly happy that he is now thoroughly and obviously where he should be in respect to :lion: and :coffee:. For too many months their trajectories weren’t lined up. Also, he needs his own emoji name.

He does need an emoji name! I shall consider.
He’s at weight which is amazing  he’s going to be on his own timeline for other development milestones tho  I still have not met him outside of a hospital setting and I hope so badly I can do so this summer.
