I like his development timeline because it is his and he is the best emoji ever
Yay little chonker not so tiny baby!
Oh goodness, at this rate he’s gonna catch up to latte, lol!
And yes to his own emoji name!
I got bigger kid reading Swift’s A Modest Proposal and now his giggles are preventing me from napping.
Almost 300 years later, Swift has still got it.
Prik Khing tofu for supper. Over Rice-a-Roni because grocery substitutions be weird these days.
And still startlingly apropos for the time.
I got tortilla chips instead of popcorn kernels one time. Yes, they are both corn. Yes they are both snacks (although one is not in its final form). No they are not at all the same. (Still, I ate them, because I also like tortilla chips but it was a weird sub it seemed to me!)
Said I wasn’t going to spend money on alcohol this month (and went into April with no booze in the house), but I have been craving a beer (PMS a likely culprit). Today the friend I was bringing homemade bread to offered beer without me even asking, so now I have beer and have achieved my first pandemic barter!
Very few things that came with the house work. I’ve had to replace most of the light and plumbing fixtures and appliances and hot water tank and a million other important, expensive things.
Today I set out to program the garage door, with low expectations. I’d bought a universal remote for it on eBay.
It didn’t work.
I did some troubleshooting.
It was unplugged.
Then it worked.
I’ve never had a garage with a door that opens before. I am such a fancy bitch.
My IKEA porch furniture I bought a month ago arrived today, on a beautiful spring day when the rest of the week has been rainy and gross. Friends… I DIDN’T HAVE TO ASSEMBLE ANYTHING.
The part where PA closed down all the liquor stores convinced me to try a local craft distillery that can still sell their own stuff. Soon I’ll have 3 new ryes to try, all medalists in some sort of booze tourney.
We have a functional not-broken toilet seat! Boyfriend installed it and I didn’t have to do anything!
The only liquor store in a 50-mile radius, strategically located in the one wet “town” (pop. under 5,000) in the dry county south of us, is now doing curbside delivery, so I drove down there and got enough alcolhol to last us through the summer while encountering no one.
I found a table+chair set for my patio on craigslist, and it was only $40. I’ve spent the past two weeks looking at patio tables that were $100-$150 and I just couldn’t justify it. One more step towards making my patio look…somewhat cute
More than somewhat. I would call it indisputably cute.
Um I want to live in your patio
If this is only somewhat cute, I don’t think we will be prepared to handle the level of adorbs when you finish.
I replaced the battery in my ten year old laptop and SHE IS ALIVE!
It was the simplest of tasks, but I felt like a tech wizard.
I also got the modification piece for my pups wheelchair last week and did the very fiddly job of making a piece for one sized chair fit the frame for a different size. They told me on the phone it wouldn’t work. They underestimated me, my blockheaded insistence, and my stock of zip ties.
Tony? We’ve got a Victor.
Yay for you and for B. She’s lucky to have you.
List item
haha! You are welcome too! You might get evening visits from javelinas looking for snacks, but at least it’s warm!
