Tiny Victories

It’s very easy, but I keep using mine all in my coffee and then forget I don’t have any when I want to use it in baking or smoothies and then don’t want to make up a batch right at that moment. I need to get more in the habit of making it regularly. Planning is not my strong suit!

Everyone in my house is on a separate video call right now. Kiddo is having a book read to him by Papa. #21stCenturyFamily

I went to the store right when it opened and got toilet paper! They only had the most expensive kind, and it was marked up 4x, but these are the end times and toilet paper is our currency now.
Also I got kitchen staples to last a while. Hardly any produce, though. We might survive covid and die of scurvy.

My baby played by himself in the living room for 6 minutes while I started dishes.

Now he’s sleeping or not, in his crib. Quietly

My first phone call of the day involved congratulating a client on their newly acquired US citizenship and helping them register to vote!

When I worked the polls pre-pandemic we had a newly minted American (originally hailing from Australia) who was very very excited to vote, and whose friends had us like… triple check that he was properly registered. It was pretty adorable.

I made my drink extra strong. GOOD CHOICE.

My kid just watched an episode of Peppa Pig where they visit a castle. I should plan a trip for us all to the UK next year just so he can see a castle, yes? Yes. He has never been on airplane before. All the castles…

My husband is on his way home. This means, in about 30 min, I can declare victory: two days and a night solo parenting, and all went smoothly. I didn’t sleep WELL, but I did sleep, and everyone is clean and alive and I wasn’t even tempted to give the dog away. That’s a win :joy:

I ordered running shoes online and I love them. The SO had told me to order 2 pairs at the same time but I was worried I might not like them that much. My size is still in stock so I think I will do that tonight.

Good job! Personally, in 2 months and 4 days, there have been maaaaaybe 4 showers that weren’t facilitated by another adult.
