I did the thing in the meeting that they hired me to do. Like the thing which is why they wanted me in this role vs. any of the other people they were talking with, I did it this afternoon.
I had the right relationships in place, and I got the decision that was the best for my team, and people just agreed, they didn’t argue. One of those relationship goes back to 2008, and I’ve only been in this job for 9 months, to give you a sense of how long I’ve been working to build this trust.

It’s the cheap one! I have one in my current house and one at the airbnb. In a decade people will look at it and know the exact 5 year window when a renovation was done.

I hand washed half the handwash dishes, emptied the dishwasher, ran two loads of laundry, re-filled the dishwasher with the same items after I realised they were dirty because the dishwasher stopped mid-cycle yesterday, and have caught up on media updates for work.

But I still have to install a drain for that sink! And fix the surround for the upstairs tub! And add shelves and drawers for the newly installed kitchen cabinets! Should I put an epoxy floor in the basement?
Having these tasks keeps my brain from spinning in panic circles and keeps me from over researching. I’m so grateful for this project right now.

The whole quarantine thing has finally convinced my wife to allow me to use cloth napkins! I hates paper towels. Hates them. (Ok, for really gross stuff, I’m all for them, but in general, just wash the bastards)
