Cats with some plants is my basically my whole instagram feed and it’s the best.
You also get rabbits, and toddlers.
Anyone who wants plants, rabbits and toddlers, hit me up.
I don’t know how I did it, but the school nurse calls Mr. Meer first instead of me. I fucking love it. Emotional labor win!
(Brought to you by a low key FYI call about my offspring biting his own knee for some reason. Why, child, why?)
Your rabbit is more of a cat than mine!
Candied coconut from Hawaii is the best snack ever.
Tiny complaint: I should’ve brought more of it home.
Also tiny complaint: I think it’s making me farty? Don’t care. It’s so good.
My renewed licence came today, with the federal gold star of gold starriness, so that is good. There was a warning that they could take 4-6 weeks to come (so in other words, renew early), but it only took 3 weeks. Bummer that I will only use it for about 4 months before needing to get a new one. Also, I was reminded anew about how much I hate my license photo.
The heat at work is fixed. I no longer need a space heater and gloves for my office to be tolerable.
I GOT $500!!!
I bought an original Pixel smartphone in July 2017. I rarely talk on the phone, and it’s only for stuff like making appointments or talking to medical professionals. That fall was when my blind spots started, and my phone would intermittently stop working while I was frantically on the phone with the eye specialist on call. I’d be in the middle of talking to someone, and they’d be like “hello? hello? Can you hear me?”. It even happened when I was talking to Google tech support. They replaced my phone under warranty while denying that it was a known issue. It also happened to my second phone, and they replaced it again. Thankfully the third one was okay.
At the end of last year, there was a lawsuit about this exact problem. Google still denies that the Pixel ever had a microphone problem (apparently it was a soldering issue) but there was a settlement, and people who had their phones replaced more than once were eligible for $500. I sent in the e-mails for the return authorizations, but they said my proof wasn’t sufficient. Then I found the return authorization attachments that showed the phone IMEI numbers. At the end of January, I got another e-mail saying that it wasn’t sufficient. I e-mailed them back saying I had no call logs proving that it was the microphone issue, but that was what I experienced they said that return authorizations are valid proof, and please tell me what’s missing. Someone from the lawyer’s office responded and said they re-reviewed my file and that it was now in good standing.
And then a couple of days ago, I received the check! I was so afraid that they’d find some way to deny my claim, but I got the money!!
My house is freeeeeee of ants! I can clean stuff and it will still be clean and ant free an hour later!
Ohhhhh that’s amazing. YES.
My friend told me to google Kelsey from the Bachelor because she reminded her of me. I did and it made me feel good. My friend is sweet.
I just bought a bunch of plants for spring
Are you doing the balcony again? I was so impressed by how much you grew last year!
@katscratch Yes! I’m doing 5 types of peppers, 3 types of tomatoes, basil, and for my husband (as a surprise) a floral mix that will look pretty and is meant to attract hummingbirds! I’m doing the veggies from transplant though, not seed. I think only the basil and flowers are from seed.
Oh, cool! What a great idea; I bet the flowers will look absolutely gorgeous next to the veggies!
You are one of the best thoughtful gesture people I have ever met That is such a lovely surprise!
I did 3 hours of focused work today.
Hot chocolate mix in coffee.
Yessss
My mom always called this a “poor girls mocha”. I love them so much.
You mean that’s not a real mocha?
