GO BIGGER KID
Semi invited myself to a coworkers going away dinner - then I asked where it was after committing and it’s at one of my favourite local restaurants! Happy tummy tomorrow night!
I like days when things keep coming up Smacky.
I just found a container of chocolate peanut butter parfait in the fridge leftover from Thanksgiving. I’d thought it all got eaten before I had a chance to get any. Now I know what I’m having for dinner. Mmmm.
Congratulations on your victory and on this excellent pun.
Smacky, that is awesome all around!
Today I discovered chocolate hummus for the first time when a colleague brought it to a meeting.
Today a prospective 2020 client called me to get some info.
She had heard about my business at her vets office in the waiting room Apparently one of my clients was there (not sure who) gushingly recommending my biz to another person who was waiting and she overheard them saying great things!
I do all work of mouth, but this one was so genuine it really got me in my feels. I’m doing the thing! And it’s working!
First, that sandwich sounds amazing, and second, I am a person with all the saws, but no jigsaw. You are an inspiration. I will acquire.
SO GLAD YOUR THERAPIST DID THE THING.
Before today I only had a hacksaw, which will do almost everything if you have determination and functioning hands. A jigsaw is small and light enough that I should be able to use it for a while, unlike a reciprocating saw. I don’t know that everyone needs a jigsaw but for sure I do.
I bring my therapist the knotted up skeins of my thoughts and she sorts them out and smooths them into order. Why is this one tangled up with that one? That doesn’t make sense. Let’s untangle them and put them where they belong.
She is a wizard.
I like that you have a wizard for a therapist, @Smacky . I’m hoping to hire one soon.
Related, I emailed a psych group to see if any of their therapists have availability, and I booked an appointment with my GP to discuss this and other matters.
Old dog had a good, no, a great night. We shut the door leading to the living room and his little pallet in there, moved his cat off his bed heater so he could lie on it, and made him sleep on his own bed (aka the queen size memory foam mattress from grad school city, set just a few inches off the floor for air circulation and ease of access for him). He slept all night for the first time in weeks, then got himself up and walked into the bedroom without limping to get me this morning. Think I’m going to move his other bed heater from the pallet in my office to the other end of his bed (so his cat can’t possibly drive him off both of them) and make him sleep there every night. It’s clearly good for his old bones.
I love that your dog has a cat.
Yes, the cat decided that herself. He’s a very, very large kitten in her world (he’s a Great Dane).
I need to know more about this sandwich. Are the items cold? Warm, like a very special grilled cheese? What kind of bread was this magic served on? Or are the apples the bread, sandwiching the brie and cranberry? Is the cranberry a cranberry sauce? Jelly? Jam? Is the skin left on the apples? In my mind, these apples are very thinly sliced. Truth?
Ciabatta bun, crusty outside and so soft inside. Cranberry rosemary chutney. I would have put a little less rosemary in it. A good amount of brie. Thinly sliced green apple so it was in every bite but was never the dominant flavour. Sliced turkey breast, which was the least interesting part. Heated until the brie melted but not so much that the arugla wilted.
OMG it’s even better than you first described! Cranberry rosemary chutney! Arugula! Soft, warm ciabatta!
I have a new plan for dinner tonight.
Hi, I don’t believe we’ve met yet, but I’d like to come over for dinner tonight.
Does it involve coming to Hoth and having a sandwich with me?
