16 ounces of real vanilla extract at Costco for $29.99!

Man, I bought that same item several years back for half that. This vanilla shortage sucks. But good find!

The shadowy one noticed today that the hallway floor was dirty, and used spray and scrubbed it until it was clean. It has been that way for several years (a greasy residue on the outer edges that attracts dust), but this was the first they noticed, and I had never cared enough to get down and scrub it.

I know - the price is scary high. But I saw it on the King Arthur site for about 3 times that cost.

We went to the care facility we’re considering for Duckling this morning and he had a tantrum because he didn’t want to leave.

Cat left my lap long enough for me to make dinner. Now she’s snuggling me again and letting me hold her paw.

Boo for the tantrum, yay for the apparently great fit!

I finally made a dentist check-up appointment (only 2 years after moving away from home…)

Paw holding is a rare privilege. Clearly, you’ve been a good human.

I love cinnamon - fireballs, etc. There is a candy called chicken bones, not sure if it’s only a Canadian thing? Hard cinnamon candy filled with chocolate. Love them and are nostalgic because my grandmother would always have them for Christmas. A distillery in New Brunswick made a liquor out of it with the ones that didn’t pass sale quality. They did a small run of 2500 bottles. I asked my teammate out that way if he could get me some and they were sold out. I was disappointed but oh well. He happened to be at the distillery yesterday and convinced the owner to sell him 2 bottles for me - the next batch won’t be available until Dec 9th. I’m so excited about them and grateful he went out of his way to get them for me. I won’t get them until December 17th or so when he brings them to Toronto.

I brought my leftover spinach-artichoke dip to work for lunch today, still in the same cast-iron skillet I cooked it in. I figured I’d be eating it lukewarm, but decided to see if it fit in the toaster oven at work to reheat. It just fits!

The cats didn’t wake me up until 4AM this morning!

Somehow this morning laundry happened, we bathed the baby, I shaved, and my husband got a workout in. And I got TWO cups of coffee which were drank still hot (okay, at least warm- but I got through them before they got cold is the point).

After a day of extreme fatigue and gastro issues I have decided to stay home from the gym. Instead I will watch TV and nap with dogs. My victory (which is a work in progress) is being ok with skipping the gym.

I took a break from my life of leisure and made a giant cranberry kale salad (from a giant bag) and a giant smoked tofu pasta salad (actually involved cooking pasta and chopping veggies) so that we eat properly for at least part of this week. Dinner was a serving of each, and I assume that the current drum circle against my spine means they were well recieved.

Oh! And huge victory, I pooped 2.5 days worth of food this afternoon! I feel like my pregnancy forum will appreciate that one more though.

I appreciate all that information

I like Elle’s victories.

My federal student loans are usually in income-based repayment assistance. For the last six months they haven’t been because they changed the login requirements and I couldn’t get in. Paying a monthly bill because you can’t log onto a website is lame. Today I was collecting my financial info and decided to try again. I can log in now! And my new application for repayment assistance is submitted.

Additional victory: my six months of payments made a pretty dent in the debt.
