He said something about vanilla coming from the anal glands of beavers. It was unclear.
One of the greatest words of all time comes from otter places. Possibly other weasels. Spraint. The things you can learn at a zoo
Correction: the best thing to learn at a zoo is lockpicking.
Did online games with friends via Discord & jackbox. And I was more technically saavy than the other newbies!
My husband is home. I solo did 7 of the last 8 days. I survived.
I also listened to 3 audiobooks. Thank you Libby.
Update on my complaint: figured out it was probably a blocked salivary gland, been treating it, and my face is much smaller now. fingers crossed for no antibiotics.
My elongated and slightly trapezoidal mask design covers husband’s full beard as I had hoped.
Affogato for breakfast.
(that’s espresso poured over ice cream. It has to be exceptionally good ice cream, the kind with no weird ingredients at all, or it gets gross. I have exceptionally good ice cream. This might be a double victory)
If you’re a gorilla.
I thought affogotto was whiskey and ice cream?
Google has a few definitions. I like the one with espresso.
I distinctly remember booze being involved when I had it. A text to Gramps later, I have confirmed that the affogato we had was vanilla gelato with espresso and fra angelico.
Not sure where whiskey came from in my head. Makes no sense for Italy.
The espresso and ice cream one sounds really good too. I wonder what it would be like with the dulce de leche ice cream I have in the freezer.
I have never heard of that. Around here, it’s always ice cream and espresso Lots of ice cream shops sell it now here like salt and straw.
What’s salt and straw?
Local famous ice cream shop. On all the travel guides for Portland. Quite tasty. Always has lines that are a block plus long when it’s warm.
Oh, good. I was afraid it was an ice cream flavor, and it did not sound yummy at all.
They do some very experimental flavors. Honestly, an oat straw and finishing salt flavor would not shock me
On our walk today, we saw a short 2 person line at one of the local brunch places that I thought was closed for the duration (my neighbourhood is known for its brunch places and one often needs to wait 30-60 minutes if one wants to eat there on the weekend). It turns out that they had done some pre-orders for people celebrating today, and by the time we were walking by at 245, they were selling the last of their quiches and pastries for half price. Quite the score.
And now we have dinner, breakfast and lunch sorted out.
My partner bought me a MASSIVE Qdoba burrito for dinner last night. I ate the tortilla, plus about 1/2 of the filling, and there was enough filling left over for me to make another chonker of a burrito today
