Tiny Complaints

I am going through this and yeah, it’s so complicated and $$$.

Massachusetts at least has 0% loans for heat pumps but just deciding what to pick has been so stressful.

I have absolutely no breakfast food in the house.
Well, that’s not true, there is Raisin Bran. But I hate Raisin Bran. Sigh.

Haha. We had an estimate from a second company and it is less than half as much as the first one, for a system that (on paper) has an identical setup, but with a different brand of heat pump. How? We can’t figure it out. Like, some difference in price, sure. $20k doesn’t make sense.

Very unfortunate time of year to have GD. I want that maple bourbon latte.

TC: I just found out today that if one wants to purchase Treasuries on the Vanguard website, the minimum purchase amount is face value of $1000. In comparison, the minimum on the Treasury Direct website is $100.

I just had a $300 car repair last month after a $170 alignment + oil change a few weeks before that. Now my check engine light is on, and mechanic says it will be a $200 fix. My house AC also went out two weeks ago and was $300 to fix…

I can just feeeeeel a $300 vet visit coming over the horizon :joy:

Carpal tunnel man. It’s bad enough to drop stuff. It’s straight up surreal to drop stuff while feeling no change in sensation leading up to it just… not being in your hands anymore.

Thus far my plane has been supposed to take off at 11:40, 12:15, 1:33, 2:08, back to 1:08, and now we’re either boarding in 20 min or 1.5 hrs with no idea about takeoff time (and apparently bathrooms that won’t work until we’re airborne which seems a little questionable).

Sam’s Club used to sell a box with two 20lb jugs of cat litter inside. Now it’s a big box filled with 40lbs of loose litter. It obviously saves a ton of money not having jugs but I personally think it’s a terrible idea. Lifting it up enough to pour it into the high sided litter box I have is very awkward and not easy. It was $8 cheaper than buying 2 jugs anywhere else but I’m not sure it’s worth it. I bought 2 so it’s going to last a while.

Put a scoop in it? Even a leftover soda glass, or marred plastic ware container will work.

I can do that. I’d rather complain though!

Oof, I get the 28 pound bags and it’s heavy enough. 40 pounds is a pain to manage!

Fair enough.

One of my complaints about Costco is the excessive packaging.

Whyyyyy would you plan an icebreaker activity based around giving personal compliments for a group of people who literally just met each other
