Tiny Complaints

OMG that sounds like a nightmare.

Complaint: the Tulsi supplement I switched to, and was feeling very pleased about myself for saving money on, is, in fact, caplets not capsules. 🫨
Now it’s going to give me a solid morning gag every day until the jar is finished and I can switch back to my prior brand.

Nooooo :confounded:

Is it bad enough to try encapsulating them? Or to check into encapsulating dry tulsi (if you do this buy the machine thingy)

Meh. As awful as it is I’d rather just gag for 30 days.
I don’t have the time/capacity for another project to encapsulate them.
But thx for the reminder that this is an option!! :pill:

Global complaint for 2023 thus far:
This has been an unusually expensive year. What with the pipes freezing in our house, some auto repairs, health bills, insurance premium increases, etc., it seems like we’re constantly chasing something or another. Or is it that something or another is constantly chasing us?

So far we’ve been responding by basically having a firm upper lip and keeping tight score on our budget. We figure that many of these things are periodic, and entirely predictable in the long term if not the short term. Their rapid succession has been unfortunate, but hopefully it was merely a bad run of luck.

Hopefully.

One of my favourite comedians is coming to my city (which never happens!!!) But none of my friends have heard of him or really follow stand-up.

If anyone wants to see Josh Thomas with me please let me know.

Do you have a drain under your fridge? Sometimes those can get nasty.

Not so tiny complaint. Yesterday I pulled an old blog up to add the data to the frugality book. Ended up with a section that didn’t pertain. Eliminated what I’d used and saved the small section, just in case.

This morning when I went to look? I’d deleted the entire 12 pages or so of the book I was working on and saved that fragment.

Fortunately, we do backups, every day. I can rescue the 12 pages of writing. But GRR! :rage:

I got back into town after being gone for nine days and basically as soon as I got home I got hit with a cold. It’s 5pm and I want to go to bed. My head hurts, meds haven’t touched my headache. And my hips hurt for some reason, WTF hips.

I would but going to Canada to see one of our locals is a bit far

Rude.

And December in Hoth is so lovely.

Probably almost exactly like December in Australia.

I went to bed at a decent hour and then was wide awake at 2. My brain woke me up because it was concerned about progress on a silly phone game.

WHY BRAIN.

i got a letter from the private company to which the city of pittsburgh subcontracts all local tax collection. apparently i owe them $3. and that’s enough of a reason for them to send me a letter and call me, and for me to pay using a stamp and an envelope and a check and 10 minutes of my time. last year it was the same shit for $10.

i left them a spicy voicemail about it this morning. really really glad that i now live in an independent borough where i don’t have to pay the city anymore.

People keep smoking in one particular spot on the street and it comes right up the vents and straight into my office.

Due to price increases, we are now paying almost $2000/year to insure our cars.

Ack.

Oh shit you just reminded me I need to shop around for car insurance next week. I expect ours will be similarly awful.

Want to do mine for me too? Our cars are 10 and 16 years old. There’s no way it makes sense to cost this much.
