We drove out of our way once to a Lowes that said it had “one” of something in stock on its website. The guy at the store said that often “one” is shorthand for “none”.

The Lowe’s website is one of the worst things to grace planet earth. It’s also wrong on locations like 90% of the time when they do have stuff. Husband has had to switch to just HD for work stuff runs because lowes is just too unreliable. It’s a bummer.

I have not been having much luck with HD’s computer system lately. Getting a refund for the extra flooring and then spending it on a freezer has taken hours and hours and hours. I’ve ended up with a pro account in the process. LOL

I put some ice into my giant glass beer stein that has Nightmare Before Xmas stuff etched into it, which I bought at a nerd convention many years ago. Then I added coffee. Then I heard a CRRRRRRACK. Then there was coffee leaking out all over the kitchen counter.
Goddamn it. I loved that glass.
Also I had to make a second round of coffee.

I just had a tree service here looking at one that’s leaning towards my house. It definitely needs to go soon. While he was here I asked about a couple of other trees that he said should probably go but he wouldn’t push it because they won’t fall on my house. I also asked him to just trim dead stuff and clean up all of the trees so it looks better and also fewer branches fall every time it’s windy. I’ve got money now so I’m going to just do all of it so I don’t have to do it later but it’s not how I planned on spending money right now.

I haven’t technically spent ‘all’ evening answering inane work questions on text, but I don’t count 10 minutes of anxiety pierced by stupidity to be a pleasant way to spend a Friday evening.
(I work 9-5, but have indirect reports who work until 10:30p. And it looks like they left with a fridge leveled off 3c too warm, so if that doesn’t magically resolve itself overnight, I’ll be going in tomorrow to turn it cooler.)

Attempting to donate to a small 501c3 on the other side of the country in memory of a distant relative who recently passed. Tried to do it through the system at work so they’d get a match too (3rd party donation processing thing, it annoys me for several reasons but it’s usually at least efficient), but they got back to me yesterday that their information was more than X years old so I’d have to donate directly to the charity and then submit the receipt afterwards or ask the charity to fill out a form with updated details. Went to the charity website to find contact information and/or a donation button and found…neither. Like, there are pictures of smiling people who are theoretically the board, and they agree that they’d like donations for <programs>, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to get them any. At least give me an address to send a check to?

We have to go to a wedding 9/16 - I just ordered 3 dresses (it is outside, but formal - WTF PEOPLE - PICK ONE). I am hoping at least one of these is both comfortable and decent enough to wear.
I hate wearing dresses. I usually avoid it by wearing skirts - but I don’t think I have any skirts and tops that would be wedding formal. Bleh.
