Your dog urgently wants you to get over this particular hang-up so they can have your potato salad.
You can’t have it. It will upset your tummy. Let’s find a new home for it. Raccoons?
Agree - don’t eat it. Just throw it away. Pretend you found it on the street after a day in the hot sun.
The local store didn’t have the blueberry bush varieties I wanted. So I just bought a pile of alyssum instead, which smells amazing and Duckling tried to eat.
I have to do a very small amount of work. My brain would prefer to do anything but.
Our dog is old and gets tired fast. Faster when he doesn’t sleep well at night. He didn’t sleep well last night.
Also diabetic cat is requiring more insulin and many prickings of tiny cat ears to monitor glucose levels. I hate having to prick little cat ears. He’s very good about it, which just makes me feel more guilty.
My cat only wants junk food. Like mama.
Only got a tiny little sprinkle of rain while the main stuff fell all around us. This pretty much guarantees there will be no more blackberries this year.
Update: apparently the way to end a drought is for me to hang out clothes e and for my husband to get out on the tractor and try to get something accomplished. This is not a complaint, however.
I think I just lost my house keys. Bother.
Ran errands, Spouse went with because dog likes car rides. This was all too distracting today. Ugh.
ETA: called the most likely place to have lost them - FOUND!! This is now a Tony Victor!
My building has an outdoor pool for two months of the year. A week in and it isn’t open yet
I went blueberry picking with friends, then to lunch, then we all walked around a tiny bit. It was like 2 hours worth of very light activity. I was wiped out enough I slept the entire drive hour long home
I’m not convinced that my dogsitter will actually take care of my dogs. I suspect that they will largely be ignored in the yard 90% of the time. They won’t be injured by this but they will be miserable while I’m out having fun, which reduces my fun. It’s too late to switch dogsitters, though. I just have to hope for the best.
I know this is late, and I know you already know the problem, but a very wise friend of mine (@MeadowLark) once gave some very wise advice that I find helpful in such a situation, so maybe you will find it helpful too. She said something along the lines of, “The food is going to waste either way, whether I throw it in the garbage can or put it into my body.”
I remember that quote! The idea, JJ, is that you are treating your body like a trash can by forcing food into it that you don’t want or need.
Can you voluntell another friend to come by every few days to provide your dogs with love?
I drank 32 oz of coffee and now I’m more tired than before.
Though I wonder… we were successful in getting 2 days/week as work from home. I should start lobbying for nap-pods. I’m probably never getting the puppy room though.
I just gave Sonja a key. If she has time she will stop by.
I do not know what I did, but my entire arm is killing me. It hurt a little yesterday, but today it hurts from the palm of my hand all the way up to my shoulder! Mostly severe throbbing ache in my elbow and my forearm close to my elbow. It’s different from muscle ache. It is not better than the stabbing pain I sometimes have from the tendonitis. (Actually… it reminds me of when I had severe D deficiency and the calcium was being leached from my bones, causing my bones to freaking hurt. But I’ve been taking all my supplements.)
I came home from yoga and fell asleep on the couch. I napped so hard my neck hurts. Also, I have a long to do list and I’m too groggy to do any of it.
That sounds like a pinched nerve. Please see a Chiro or doctor.
