That sounds like the absolute worst.
I went on a date and now I’m acting dumb about it because I don’t know how to interact with humans
I bet you’re cute.
You went outside your comfort zone and are staying there! Brave JJ.
Good for you for alerting HR to these problems. Sounds like a Monty Python skit.
Partner is grumpy
It’s fine it happens to all us humans. But it makes me grumpy and sensitive too.
Yesterday Kid-4 had a flat tire and I went to help her. It took half the day. Today she called in an absolute panic because her car lost power on the freeway and then started smoking from under the hood. I raced over there and helped her get her car towed (no one can ride in tow trucks now because of COVID and Uber/Lyft is risky, also because of COVID).
So now she has my car (if only one of us can work, it should be her, as she is much better at it than I am and will earn more in the same amount of time) and I am waiting to find out what terrible thing is wrong with her car.
Also I have to go to the dentist again tomorrow.
My five year old has the attitude of a sullen teenager. What the hell?
TC: we bought the wrong version of Falllout 4 for what we want to do with it.
TV: Steam has a very easy return policy.
TC: we’ll have to wait for the next sale to make the right version a decent price.
Partner lets the “yellow mellow” to save water. This defeats my increased effort to keep the bathroom clean.
I have a popcorn kernel stuck in the back of my throat.
I had to explain to someone that an appropriate sign for the display of Hanukkah books should not be red and green with a Christmas tree on it, even if it does say “Happy Holidays”.
I ordered stuff online but forgot one item that I do not dire-emergency need right at this moment, but I’ll be out in a few weeks. Now I’ll probably have to pay shipping, or else order a bunch of other stuff to get free shipping. Blargh.
The ENTIRE REASON I went to the website was to buy this item, then found a bunch of other things I am also out of, bought that, and… forgot this thing?
Mail is like the most exciting thing in my life right now. I keep only getting junk mail and nothing fun!
My boss was very impressed by my elaborate schedule.
The sample manager apparently didn’t see any of the 8 emails we sent about it and assigned the samples in a different order to different people.
TV: he’s trying to fix it.
I get excited if I get junk mail with a plain envelope, because I use those to write my grocery lists. But I get mad if the back of the envelope isn’t plain, lol.
I got a cancel notification for an Amazon order literally right after I dropped the damned thing off at the post office. Now I have to refund her.
Also, our landlord is making us let a heat repair person in again. (FFS, the heat is FINE. Not perfect, but not bad enough to risk death over.)
Our numbers are so high here that I think we probably should use up 2 of the KN95s I bought on this. With cloth mask over it. And all windows open. While it’s 30 out. Blargh.
Amazon sometimes tells me they can’t cancel. is that not possible?
Not on Amazon Handmade. They’ll force me to refund her (they take it out of my account).
