I had a crown fall off at the beginning of the lockdown. I was able to hold it on with toothpaste (as recommended by dentist, who wasn’t allowed to see me) for nearly 3 months. Take it off to eat and sleep.
But this prevented my teeth from shifting.
I hope you are able to get in way quicker than that.
They DID NOT.
I use them in like everything I cook and I haven’t been able to find them in any of the stores on my side of town in the last three weeks +
I have trouble reading other things on the internet anymore because the dark mode on OMD is just SO MUCH EASIER on my eyeballs.
Honestly I have trouble doing my work, because neither MS Word nor our document management system have dark mode. My email and teams chat do, but that doesn’t help me with document updates or training I have to do.
My back pain is flaring up enough today that it takes me a good 30-45 seconds to straighten fully when I stand up. Contemplating setting my office chair on fire - not useful, but would definitely be cathartic…
HR sent out a wellness email thing, with a new website to read up on wellness, and then answer a bunch of questions to get points for something or other. I usually do these things because the points turn into like $25 towards a pair of runners.
But
questions are timed, with a counter measuring hundredths of seconds spinning down on the right hand side
it’s like Weakest Link, where if you get multiple questions correct in a row, you get more points for each question, and if you get one wrong, you drop down to the lowest number
it has a leader points on the front page
it has those fun double negative questions with true/false and the true/false button locations keep moving
Which is basically how one would design a study if you were interested in seeing how people cope with externally imposed stress. The only thing that is missing is a colour change and a beeping sound.
And how unfriendly to anyone who is ESL or uses adaptive tech or is dyslexic?
I sent them an email, because really, this is HR. They didn’t respond.
