I’m not done making halloween costumes, but I’m tied to bed by an attached baby.

Also it took over 2h to get our new (used, fb marketplace) washer and dryer. But they are sitting in the back of the truck and not installed yet.

I took a 1h break from complaining and kinda finished our costumes. Pumpkin won’t be carved. But I will put out candles and candy. Candles I think are v important. And costumes. We lost a lot of things I was looking forward to with baby, and I need costumes and halloween in some form. I’m not sure if we’ll be social pariahs for putting out candy. But I know that in my old neighborhood which is stage 2, people are posting about grab bags and their address on next door

Two different neighbours have filled my yard with smoke from their BBQs the past 2 days. My laundry was all ready to get hung up to dry!

My plan is to have our own BBQ next week :smirk:

Kiddo wakes up with 5,000% more energy than I do. I do not understand how he is incapable of laying down and keeping his body still. I know it is a fact, I see it in front of me daily, but I do not grok it. The other day within two minutes of waking up he started doing jumping jacks.

It’s been 3 days and my neck still hurts. From entertaining the baby in the car on our coast trip. I’ve been taking NSAIDs I’ve been so sore. Last time I took anything for pain was after my c section. Before that it had been like a year. That’s how rarely I take stuff. And yet. 3 days. Grrr.

I forgot to pay my credit card off at the start of the month. Now my card is frozen and I have to pay interest. This is inconvenient and I’m annoyed with past me. At least I didn’t find out by having my card declined while getting groceries or something important like that.

I miss Trader Joe’s a lot. They don’t deliver, and since I am avoiding public transport, the closest one is an hour and 15 minutes’ walk each way. (I know this because it’s by my dentist and I made that walk many times this summer).

So I decided to google and see if anyone might be selling a couple of the items I really miss. Specifically pumpkin butter and candy cane green tea.

And, Amazon has both. The cheapest pumpkin butter price is $10.56. For one jar. Oh, and someone’s selling a 10-jar pack for $490.

The Candy Cane Green Tea is selling for $36. For one package.

I hate people. In the stores, these items cost, what, 3 or 4 bucks each?

I was very proud of myself for taking apart and cleaning my burr coffee grinder, but it seems that I now have a very clean and also broken coffee grinder.

Probably not the intended takeaway from your post, but my mind immediately went to, “hang on, I have a car and live less than 3 miles from TJs. Could I be making a fortune reselling TJs stuff?”
