My library hold on Little Women finally came in, but the only thing we have to play DVDs is D’s laptop. He used to go to his friends’ house for D&D and that’s when I would watch things on his laptop, but now he can’t do that and he doesn’t want to watch it with me.
I can’t find my iron anywhere (I have not needed it since we moved here). I think maybe I don’t have an iron afterall.
TV: It’s cold-ish! We opened the windows!!
TC: The neighbors lawn service showed up with their mowers and weed eaters. Sigh.
Better than lawn spraying at least? (That stuff gives me a wicked headache, perhaps from years of exposure to it in my summer job.)
Our HVAC at work is not working well. It’s not NOT working, but it’s way colder than it should be.
They sent a different repair guy than our usual one. I can catch snippets of him on the phone and so far have heard him say, “I’ve never seen anything like this” and “Oh shit”
This does not bode well for me taking off my gloves today.
I left the french doors open to enjoy our cooler weather and did not prepare myself properly. My feet are now waxy white and purple.
I got a filling 8 days ago and my tooth still hurts really bad. I haven’t had a filling in a while so I can’t remember if this is normal
In my experience, not normal. I got 5 fillings this summer and none hurt for more than a day (and it was more tenderness and sensitivity, not bad pain).
I’m sorry, dental pain sucks.
First world problems: booze delivery is SUPER expensive.
But, well, so is getting covid and we just hit a new daily record of 7,000 cases so I don’t really want to go to either of the somewhat sketchy liquor stores near me, nor to Whole Foods where everyone’s got a bad case of dicknose.
Agree with @TrisPrior but with the caveat that if they said something about it being a big or deep one (or that it would eventually need a crown) - the big ones like that can hurt for a week or two after.
It was a really big filling, which was a re-do of a filling I had done like 7 years ago. So I guess I should expect it to be painful…stupid teeth
The last one I had was like that, and also a redo. It hurt all the time for a week and then when I bit down on it for another week. Drilling out an old filling is rough,
ETA but I called the office to be sure that was ok after a week.
Being still in the midst of some dental drama - I feel you!
I also feel like my teeth are differently aligned now after an extraction. Weird.
This is the weirdest feeling! My dentist told me once that even a fraction of a millimeter difference is noticeable until we get used to where things are in our new mouth haha
I just have never understood why we get and lose a set of teeth in the first 6-8 years of life, then we are stuck with the same ones till we die! So much effort to keep them working, seems like around 30 we should just get a refresh!
I agree with this
And another at 50, trust me.
Another at 80 according to my mom
Yes, that makes sense. But still it’s like two clumsy preteens with braces kissing or something. Just all the hard pointy bits slightly clashing or feeling in the way.
We should be like sharks (or Coneheads) and continuously grow new teeth!
