I mean, I once fell into an actual fountain because I was trying to take a shortcut at a comic art convention, so I don’t have a lot of room to throw stones here.
I think a chunk of earwax fell against my eardrum because I am suddenly totally deaf in my left ear. This has happened before so I’m not alarmed, but seriously. I don’t need more medical crap.
After 5 days of intense labour period and moderate flow, then a day off, I’m having intense contractions and overly overflow. I do not have a queen size mattress protector. Also I can’t keep food, tampons or cups in the places I try to stick them.
This is the 22nd time I have moved, and somehow I am still surprised at how exhausting it is.

I hate this for you. I have lost a lot of sleep over the worry of overflow, never mind all of the other awful discomforts you describe. I once resorted to puppy pee pads on my side of the bed, left over from babysitting a geriatric dog. But then those would bunch up and I would be continually checking all night that they were in place, and that I hadn’t tucked a sheet or blanket too close around my midsection. I even tried taping down the pee pads with packing tape, but they would come unstuck anyway. The worst for me has been staying in a hotel with white sheets and white bedding. I spent most of the night in the bathroom checking for an overflow situation. Many hugs to you regarding misbehaving menstruation!
This happened to my dad and they advised putting olive oil in his ear. He was showering and a big chunk fell out.
Kitten jumped onto my lap and immediately jumped off, leaving huge scratches on my arms.
I have ear oil. It will be fine eventually, or I’ll get a doctor to fix it next week.
I am awake. I just had 8 hours sleep but I need another 2 hours. Body, plz sleep.
We took a trip to Virgina today to get a tractor Dad found on Craiglist. We left around 5:40-some this morning and got back at 5:40-some this evening. Fucking hell. I did get to pet the cute dog owned by the guy we were buying it from though.
Oof that is a long day
So long. And ugh so many Trump signs too. Eww. Did see a few Biden signs though.
You know I want to hear about the tractor. (Not so much the Trump signs unless you ran over some with the tractor.)
Dad got an old bolens 1050. It’s more like a lawn mower than a tractor but some people call it that. Dad got it for $50 which is a pretty good deal. He mainly wanted it to have extra transmission gears because the one main gear alone is going for over $100 by itself on eBay.
The guy we bought it from is deaf so I helped Dad communicate back and forth with him by writing on his notepad and reading what he wrote to Dad. They had a good time looking over the guy’s tractor collection. He has a big-ass John Deer and then some smaller tractors that are from various companies I’ve never even heard of. One of them was a powder-blue Panzer. Also his dog was adorable and stuck close to me the whole time so I could continue petting him. I think he must’ve been a Golden Retriever mix.
Ah, cool. Those little Panzers are really cute; Golden Retrievers are cuter.
$50 is a great deal for that little Bolens. Ours is a Yanmar 1750D, about four times the size, but it cost a lot more than four times as much!
ETA the Bolens is plenty big enough to mow down Trump signs!
Dad has a homemade one too his great-uncle built from the rear-end of a 1948 Jeep Willys. Dad has modified it over the years and made some buckets for it that work off of winches.
Need a picture of that if you’re so inclined. That’s cool.
I’ll get you some pictures tomorrow. It’s raining like a mofo here. But it is pretty sweet. I’ll post them on my journal.
I started cutting my plants down today. It always makes me a little sad because it makes my house look bare.
