I’m finally ready to submit my Canadian citizenship application after they made some changes in June and I needed to chase down more documents. I double checked everything last night and printed everything an hour ago, ready to put it together to mail tonight.
Tell me why I just found out they updated the application version TODAY.

I filled out the new version and printed it again. How they could have possibly evaluated my citizenship without knowing the date my grandparents got married, we’ll never know.

Rest assured they will update it a few more times… I don’t think there’s a penalty for using an older version within the few days around a change but obviously you want to get everything right.
Our application was delivered 6/1 and it’s still sitting patiently in the queue to be opened…looks like they just start opening 5/1 deliveries so I’m hoping by 10/15 we will have some communication. We will welcome you into the queue with us!!

So apparently this is literally a thought that keeps me up at night.
PDX, this town, I swear one day I will open a coffee shop and it will be called Cozy Chair Coffee and its chairs WILL be cozy and you can sit there as long as you dang well please.
And the coffee may taste like dirt but hipster coffee will have nothing on it because the chairs will be delightful, and people will gather and be well.

this has turned into a TV. A post on reddit reminded me that I wanted to see if their cold weather pants were in stock yet (they are not), and I noticed that inventory was updated overnight, and thanks to people who made a purchase they regretted, I have snagged a pair in the new colourway.

Yeah, if I’d already sent it I wouldn’t think anything of it but I figured if it was in my power to use the updated form I should!
I’m trying not to think too hard about how long it’s going to take haha. But I’m happy for it to be in Canada’s hands imminently.

Anecdotally, about 60% ikea metal flattops or similar, 30% plastic of some variety, and 5-10% are those two lounge chairs that everyone fights over.
Not a huge prevalence of order screens that I’ve seen - if it requires a screen, I am not it’s customer (thankfully we have a lot of options around these parts)
