We might be getting sick a FOURTH time since the start of July?? Latte hasn’t even started inside school! At this point I’m literally starting to believe in the spontaneous generation of germs theory. We aren’t doing anything different, and in fact are going to fewer places- no library (the kids anyway/l- I just pickup holds), no zoo or OMSI. I literally don’t understand where or how we’re getting sick. And now I’m worried Latte will miss her first ever days of inside school??? And I could cry.

Got auto insurance renewal today. It went up again. Every 6 months it goes up consistently. My car is 21 years old and I’m paying almost double what I was paying when I bought it 10 years ago. I’m older and haven’t used my insurance in 10 years, yet I’m paying double? WTF

Our annual home owners insurance more than DOUBLED. ($950 to $2200) and yeah our car went up a ton too, I think like an extra 30% on last renewal?

Yep. I imagine it’s two parts- we had a small water loss claim last year, and we were within a mile of a stage 1 evacuation zone for wild fire for the first time ever.

That’s completely normal here. I know someone for whom it quadrupled. That’s if you don’t get entirely dropped for no reason.
Also, my city is losing a community free fridge because the owner of the property it’s on has been threatened with their homeowners insurance dropping them if it is not removed.

I want to buy some sweet new workout shorts in Halloween print, but the size chart just tells me the US/UK sizes associated with S/M/L/XL in their brand, and the rise measurement. Why not list waist or hip measurements? Yes they’re stretchy, but still, a LITTLE guidance would be nice.

My car’s computer is gaining sentience…
It started occasionally acting weird like a year or two ago- the center media console would start randomly moving to different screens and not respond to the knob controls, so I couldn’t actually change the screen, or stop the car from changing screens chaotically.
Now it’s starting to do that while my phone is connected using bluetooth. A week ago my car tried to call my friend’s husband, and yesterday it shut off my Google maps directions while I was driving
