I’m suddenly allergic to my hair stuff. My whole scalp wants to come off. To looks gross and feels awful and means I have to do an expensive and frustrating quest to find something that I’m not allergic to. Again.

I read all of Fourth Wing yesterday and today and book 2 is “available soon” on Libby but it is not available NOOOOOW. But also it could become available at any moment so I have a perpetual sliver of hope which is almost worse than knowing I won’t get it for weeks.

Yes, and gross drains in sinks and old potatoes and dogs that leave nasty things in hidden spots. I’ll solve the issue. Probably not today.

My krewe meeting was at a brewery that has really good tacos, down the street from a place that has really good snoballs.
I was really full after tacos so did not get a snoball.
Now I am not full anymore and really want that snoball but it is a million degrees out and I don’t want to leave the house and also the cat is asleep on me.

I’ve been on hold for a while, which is annoying but fine.
The standard hold music gets interrupted every half minute with the ‘thank you for continuing to hold…’ message. Fine.
The voice that message is in has changed a few times, and each time I think my call has been answered by a human.

Trying to get a start on looking for kids Halloween costumes since Kiddo has a specific thing already. My TC is costumes with built in “muscles”. They’re hot AF and children here are at real risk of melting right along with the chocolate they’re stuffing into their faces. Please don’t make my overtired child also be overheated.

Hold “thank you for holding” repeats for a specific local healthcare place was recorded by an old coworker’s mother and it always threw me HARD left because she would occasionally call the old office so I heard her voice IRL on the phone, too.

The airport train is randomly closed for maintenance before my flight tomorrow, so I have to either pay $100 for a car, leave an hour early to take a shuttle bus, or cobble together a train + taxi situation that still takes more time and costs some money.

Took some old spray sunscreen to the beach because I hate it and wanted to use it up and I think it was just totally ineffective because now I am very sunburnt. Also the aloe lotion I bought smells strongly of play-doh.
