This is the first time all week I’ve had much internet. I have a group chat that I get notifications from my phone but the chat won’t load. I had some urgent things to do online, but after midday tomorrow I can go phone free for the rest of my vacation. Enjoy your trip!

I find being awake at silly times is a bit isolating - why I I the only person awake right now. But in fact, other people are here, which feels comforting that we’re all experiencing awakeness at the same time. Though of course I don’t wish awakeness on anyone else when they need rest.

Boar’s Head has has a massive recall. Thankfully not of any products I buy but now I’m feeling paranoid about the deli meat I had on my english muffin even though I’ve eaten it for the past week and haven’t felt sick at all. Stupid power of suggestion.

I’m glad we have received a matching grant from College Invest for our kids’ 529 plans. However, it is automatically invested in their “Stable value plus” plan, and I can’t change it.
1.5% return, minus an admin fee of 0.71% and any other fees or charges. Ew.

Library doesn’t open until 10. I am desperate for somewhere to take my toddler and it’s before 9. Other option is going to Home Depot and buying stuff. (I’m sure there are other options in there somewhere but can’t figure them out right now)

Oh my god I lived this for so long.
Walks of course. Start a stopwatch and follow your toddler at their mind numbing exploratory pace. See how long you can make it before you break and move them along or check your phone 
Grocery store. Name the fruits, look for close out items, buy an item for lunch. Can also lead to toddlers trying new produce, big upside.
Check all your library branch hours- one library in our town opens an hour before all the others.
If you’ve got a truck lover, figure out what areas have trash day what days of the week. We would chase trash trucks and school busses close to us but if I was desperate another day of the week, I knew what neighborhoods were having trash service those days.
Park roulette. I spent many many mornings trying to visit all the little parks I could find throughout the city.
