Lol thank you! I would go on more walks if our neighborhood had freaking sidewalks. That is my other complaint. But we do have good parks!
Librarians, as always, are the heroes we need.
My neighborhood is the same way! My baby is almost 10 months old so we’ll see what the future holds
It’s hot.
It blows me away that there are places without sidewalks. I’d never run into that except in rural areas until I traveled to Mississippi and Virginia, and I was SHOCKED. Absolutely insane to me.
My suburban neighborhood in Los Angeles only has sidewalks in the north/south direction but not along the east/west direction. But it’s a quiet neighborhood so we just walk in the middle of the street.
I believe only neighborhoods within city limits proper are required to have sidewalks here. The neighborhood around the elementary school we go to is super nice, was obviously built around the elementary school, and it STILL doesn’t have sidewalks.
That freaked me right out when my parents moved us to the suburbs at 14.
I’m just outside of my city limits and don’t have a sidewalk. This also means I don’t get trick or treaters.
I misread a work assignment that is due TODAY (it is 5:34 pm rn) and I didn’t complete it correctly.
I can do it tonight (hopefully), but my work laptop is endlessly restarting, so can’t leave because I have to update the VPN.
I am doing grocery pickup tonight, necessary for dinner making
I think you are in the PNW, no? I’m in Oregon City so who knows! It’s an old-ish neighborhood, most houses built in the 1950s-60s .
Wow yeah I’m only like… 15 to 45 min away (thanks Portland traffic). I didn’t realize a bunch of Oregon city didn’t have sidewalks!! Some of the streets in NEP didn’t have sidewalks when we lived there but they were super slow small ones.
One of our neighbors (someone I have never met in person, but there is a mailing list for our street) put us all on his email list for some kind of free event he DJs. Something about rooftop beers downtown, totally not our vibe. This is probably the third email I’ve received so I asked him to please remove me and Marmalade from the list.
His response is pretty damned annoying and makes me really not want to go.
I think he means marketing events🤣
You’ve never even met this person?!? So rude. Big fat no for me dog
Nope, and it’s already so NOT COOL that he added everyone on the street mailing list to his personal mailing list. And then to get offended when someone wants to be removed??
I can’t believe you’re in Oregon City! I lived there for a while, worked for the district for 17 years. I’m just across the river now but still go there all the time because my cousin’s house is there, my dentist is there, my mechanic is there, etc.
Ah that’s really cool! I’ve only lived here for a couple years but grew up in Vancouver, lived in Portland for a while, etc. I’m so hopeful for the sale of your house!
Just a small violation of emailing laws…
Why I always fail to organize things? Why so much stuff and its really hard for me to let the unnecessary thing go. May be I am going to be hoarder.
