Yesterday I made downstairs ready for the roomba, and pushed the on button before our walk. Fuckers had fucked off the charger again. Replaced it on the charger this morning and started it when I went up. It won’t have a full charge but it’s something. Probably a ten minute war with the carpet fringe
No picture but we got a GIANT scratching post for our big cat so he won’t keep scratching the furniture. Apparently he doesn’t like scratching his cat tower but requires a separate unit. It is not helping with the look or floor space but Kitty seems to like it.
The real win is that my ten-year-old put it together while I was in another room doing something else. I only had to tighten the bottom screw.
Why would anyone destroy the efficiency of the roomba by making such a choice! leave the robot baby charging!
The wiggler took all the bins out of his Trofast and dumped them on the floor.
I attempted to clean it up.
We went to IKEA and bought more billy. Eventually the room will be pure Billy.
I have had the roomba get off the charger. I always run it when I am home because I read stories about it spreading pet poop everywhere if it finds any🥺.
This happened to my brother
Did he have to throw away the whole house or just the Roomba?
Neither because you can clean both although it won’t be fun🧐.
I think his MIL felt bad and cleaned it all since she was the one watching the dog lol.
I love this thread! I need so much unf*cking around here. I’ll start with the room that’s always a mess.
10 mins of cleaning and it was unf*cked for about 30 secs
IMO that room just looks in use. It’s not cluttered with things that have been there for days/weeks/months it doesn’t look dirty (you know best though, dust doesn’t show in pictures that well ). It has things out because a child is playing in there, and your computer is out so you can work while you supervise. Great!
This isn’t to downplay your efforts, the couch rearrangement is very nice just maybe don’t be hard on yourself
thanks, you’re right it’s not dirty it just stuff everywhere because it’s a heavily used room. It is constantly in need of being picked up but doesn’t take much to get it looking better.
YOUR HOUSE is so HAPPY
Also who sits in the brown chair outside the toddler zone? Cats? Grumpy relative? Parents who need a time out?
Lol, We blockade that chair because Puglet likes to jump off of it and on to the couch next to it.
I agree that it’s a happy room . I only picked up the toys when my kids went to bed. Then it’s neat until they get up. It was nice once kids were old enough to play and make the mess in their rooms.
I can’t wait to get my living room back!
I hate seeing stuff everywhere it does “things” to my brain. I should post a pic of the room right next to it, it’s awful. We are in the process of swapping out a lot of furniture and stuff, and this room is the dumping ground until it’s all sorted out.
This is why my house is so weird. We moved from apartment to house when Latte was like 7 months old. And I just… haven’t gotten real furniture for several of the rooms. Partially because of the pandemic and avoiding in person shopping but having analysis paralysis for online stuff. But also because there’s just so much baby stuff, if there was also adult stuff it would just be SO MUCH. I feel like a weirdo when people come over (the family that visits), but the alternative is overwhelming.
I feel you. That bookshelf thing with all the toys on it was a recent purchase because before that we just had all the toys in old diaper boxes. One of the best uses of $35 ever, the room feels some what functional now. Mr Pug was like “Oh I guess it does look better, now” like hello? We were using cardboard boxes for furniture pieces!!!
