Technically this wasn’t me, but I’ve been wanting to buy a lock to keep the back door shut (since it tends to come open with the wind or changes in pressure). Last night my husband took some part off and moved it a bit and now it’s much easier to shut the door in a way that it doesn’t spontaneously come open.
Just negotiated my internet bill down $26/month. Yay!
Cut Duckling’s hair last week, cut Ponder’s hair today.
Closed out an online shopping trolley without actually purchasing anything.
Instead of paying hundreds of dollars for new curtains, I shuffled the existing curtains around and made it work. At least for long enough to find better options at the thrift store.
Went into a grocery store. Annoyed to discover the curbside doesn’t give me access to all the in store sales and prices. No wonder my grocery costs went up!!!
This has been my irritation with the delivery/curbside options here. You pay the delivery fee on top of decently inflated prices.
Theyve fully waived the delivery fee, so we’ve been using it to avoid going in. I thought the prices were the same. And the app shows sales. Just… apparently not the same prices or the same sales???
I used Chase pay yourself back to get 25% extra on my points. This applies to grocery stores and restaurants through the end of September, so if anyone else has points lying around that you’re not using for travel, this is a great way to get more use out of them.
I got an extra $130 out of it (52k points turned into $650), and still have 11.5k points left, which can be $142 with the bonus.
Omg that stresses me out so much even though I see the practicality of it. 52K points though…that’s a business class ticket to asia or RT to Europe. I miss travel
Ah yeah, I didn’t plan on traveling much even before the pandemic hit, so I expected to only get a 1:1 cash value. This is an extra $150 for nothing!
I’m supposed to be in Germany right now…and Bangkok in November. sobs in a very entitled way
I know, I did the “pay yourself back” thing with CSR a little while ago and while it was nice to get the money it was sad to see the idea of using it for travel go away.
Yes, even with the 50% CSR bonus, it seemed like so little $$ for all those points. I could only bring myself to redeem half (~22k) of my accumulated points.
I got a targeted coupon for $30 off any meal if I signed up with UberEats. We had free Indian food, then I deleted the app.
Gave the toddler a clipper haircut. It’s not the hairstyle I prefer for him (I like his hair a bit longer even when freshly cut) but it’s comparable quality with the kid friendly hairdresser and it cost $0 instead of $30.
I didn’t go out for breakfast. That’s 7 days in a row. And probably the start of a few hundred since patios are cooling
Made dough for homemade pizza, to avoid getting takeaway pizza. Bonus, it used up veges that would start going downhill very soon otherwise.
I’m in between homemade and takeaway today: I defrosted some storebought dough for mostly-homemade pizza.
I’d call that a win!
