This is the crafting equivalent of “your princess is in another castle”

I’m gonna do a dart removal adjustment and then sew up this shirt with a fun cotton contrast pattern for the collar. shirt will be some of the vast amounts of bold color linen I got for free from Partners mom.

to be fair, all yarn is in some form of bag, but you were correct, it was in the small grey flannel bag, not the patterned apple bag.

I pick up those stitches with a crochet hook, and I always pick up at least one and sometimes two extra stitches in those corners.

Yes! I am now on a third sock. After the first one I now understand where those stitches/potential hole are.

And sometimes there will still be a bit of a hole, but it usually disappears with blocking, by which I mean “you wear it and wash it”.

(I only block socks if there’s a pattern I want to show better, and they are gifts.)

Cutting out fabric is super hard on my back even when I’m being careful. Get good rest!

It’s in time out while I make decisions for the arm holes.
I did some fudging to nix the bust darts and it’s annoying how changes balloon out.

Finished! There’s some armhole/side seam Puckering that is annoying bc I thought I dealt with that…but it’s good enough for now.

Sharing the disaster that is my dining room when I have a sewing WIP. Getting a bit discouraged that I now have to draw a third pattern and cut a third muslin of this bodice - I’m running out of fabric in this old sheet - but I’m learning a lot!
